Getting Your Base

Buy an Item Level 82+ Bow with Fractured (110-134)% increased Physical Damage (Tier 4). You can buy Tier 3 or 2 if the prices are similar. The bases to choose from in order from best to worst are:

Spine Bow
Ivory Bow
Assassin Bow
Ranger Bow

All of these choices have high base-critical strike chance and physical damage so they work well with Ice Shot.

Step 2

Essences of Contempt

Use Deafening Essence of Contempt until you see a Tier 3 or higher Adds # to # Cold Damage Prefix. This is a 1/46 chance.

Removing Extra Mods

Ice Shot

For the Suffixes you will simply benchcraft Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers then finish with (11-13)% increased Attack Speed and (25-27)% increased Critical Strike Chance. If your Suffixes are full use an Orb of Annulment to attempt at removing one. If you remove a Prefix go back to Step 2.

If you don't have space for all three mods just benchcraft Prefixes Cannot be Changed then use an Orb of Scouring to make room.

If you already have increased Attack Speed or increased Critical Strike Chance as one of your Suffixes you can just finish with the benchcraft you are missing.
