Team Update – May 2025
Roxx, Matt, and Henry came together to deliver a Lost Ark Team Update on May 17, touching on some of the things coming to Arkesia in the following months. This article covers the main points of what you can expect in future releases.
Nearly everything in this article is shown as a preview - names, mechanics, and potential changes are subject to further development and adjustments before they make their way to the live game.
Paradise Content
Paradise Content is meant to be experimental, and is still being developed by Smilegate specifically for the West. The goal here is to have easily accessible content that doesn't pose a significant challenge, but will greatly aid players' progression through the game's systems. It is meant to function on a weekly and seasonal basis, and rewards will be delivered once the content is cleared, as well as at the end of the season, potentially based on rankings.
Paradise
You may expect this to feel more like a defense game mode, where you have to defeat waves of monsters. It will give players access to new gear that goes into brand new slots (you can think of accessories, like a belt, or a cloak), on top of progression related rewards. This new gear will function only within Paradise Content, and resets at the end of the season. New levels will unlock as the season progresses.

God's Testimony
This mode will pit players against bosses in a one-vs-one fight, where the outcome will be greatly influenced by the gear obtained from Paradise. You can earn progression related rewards, as well as Hell Keys for Hell. Just as with Paradise, you will also have the chance to earn rewards once the season ends.

Hell
This is meant to be a tower gauntlet, and it was mentioned that it will feel more like hack and slash content. It will have 100 floors in total, and the goal is to reach the end. How far you can go depends on the grade of the Hell Keys you earned from God's Testimony and other activities. Floors do not have to be cleared one at a time, and can be skipped to descend faster. Rewards will be given at the end of the attempt, based on the grade of the Hell Key used and the floor reached, as well as at the end of the season.

Hell Altars
You may sometimes encounter a Hell Altar as you descend through the hordes. These offer powerful effects and can even allow you to skip several floors at once.

Choice of Rewards
Once your attempt has come to an end, since there is already a good deal of RNG involved in the outcome of your rewards, it's been mentioned that you can choose which progression items you need the most at that moment and obtain those directly.

Challenging Content
As Arkesia has become friendlier to newer players by lowering the difficulty of content, veterans with an appetite for challenges have found themselves amidst a lack of true hardship. This will be addressed by exploring a more difficult version of raids, where you can enter freely and hone your skills against the toughest opponents. The format is similar to what The First was for Thaemine, and will be implemented for raids after Kazeros is defeated. It's been mentioned that it would host rankings and seasonal rewards as well.

Other News
Here are some of the other news and key points that were mentioned.
Roadmap
The next roadmap is aimed to be released in early July, and will contain more details about Paradise Content, Female Paladin, and the upcoming Strike Raid. The controversial changes to gems announced in Korea recently will also be clarified here, as the team is looking into tailoring a solution for the Western version of the game.

Mokoko Bootcamp Event
The Mokoko Bootcamp event is here to stay, and will be active throughout the next months, with brief downtime to refresh the rewards. Mokoko status will still be subject to Item Level limitations, but now it will only be granted for a specific raid if the player has not yet cleared it 10 or more times.

Mileage Shop
The long-awaited Mileage Shop is making its way to the West! A specific ratio for points granted for an amount spent in the shop was not mentioned, but it was confirmed that points will be given out retroactively.

System Changes
Potential fixes for the Tier 3 honing dead-zone before Item Level 1620 were briefly mentioned, but nothing specific was discussed. They are however considering raid progression changes, as well as character-bound gold as an additional reward to help boost characters. Another brief mention was made about Ark Passive changes for supports, but nothing specific was shown for this either.
