KR Balance Patch – May 2025

Introduction
This article covers the changes that came with the balance patch released on the Korean Live Servers in May. This patch aims to rework/adjust some of the older classes and classes with identity problems.
Dev comments
The recent changes in the combat environment have had a variety of effects on the playstyles of each class. Some classes had performance problems due to outdated mechanics. There were also cases where the concept and identity weren't fully realized.
This balance patch is designed to suit the current combat environment. The focus was on reconstructing the combat mechanics of some classes and adjusting the skill operation structure.
For example, in the case of the Berserker’s Technique build, which had become locked into a rigid and outdated playstyle, we overhauled its overall combat system, including the tripod structure and skill animations. We also adjusted the revamped identity system and skill connections to naturally flow better.
For the Communication Overflow Summoner, we restructured the summon skill types to allow for new skill options, and improved the integration with the identity system so the concept of fighting alongside summoned creatures would be more clearly emphasized.
In the case of Time to Hunt Gunslinger, which had not fully utilized the roles and purposes of its stances, we introduced new mechanics to better highlight the unique characteristics and functions of each stance.
In addition to these changes, we reorganized class structures to enable combat operations centered around core skills, adjusted the synergy with Ark Passives, and refined the flow of combat and role execution for each class. These adjustments aim to improve overall gameplay convenience.
Following this balance patch, we are also planning a few additional updates, including improvements for support classes. We will continue to carefully assess any discomfort or areas needing improvement related to classes, based on feedback from adventurers, and will keep working to provide a better combat experience.

Tempest Slash has been changed as follows
Charge 4 meters toward the target location and slash at foes, inflicting X damage and launching them into the air. Use as a combo to deliver a spinning attack, inflicting X and X damage before landing a downward blow, infliction X damage. → Leaps forward like a storm, swings the sword to deal a total of N damage while launching enemies into the air, then powerfully slams down with the greatsword for N damage.- Changed from [Combo] to [Normal].

- Driving Hit changed as follows:
Changes to Normal Mode. Dash Attack is removed but attack count increases, increasing total damage to foe by +60.0/68.0/76.0/85.6/95.2%. → Leaps low into the air and forcefully slashes downward, creating a storm-like sword aura. Deals up to 56.8/65.2/73.6/82.0/90.4% increased damage.

Berserker Technique has been replaced with "Burst Enhancement"
- Increases damage to enemies by 7.0/14.0/21.0% during Burst Mode. Gains the 'Fury' effect during Burst, increasing attack power by 24.0% and natural mana recovery by 40.0/50.0/60.0%
Fury Consumption
- While in Burst or Mayhem states, using normal skills, Bloody Rush, or Dark Rush consumes
5.0/10.0/15.0/20.0/25.0%→ 15.0% of the base cooldown as Rage Gauge. In return, the damage dealt to enemies is increased by1.5/3.0/4.5/6.0/7.5%→ 2.4/3.4/4.4/5.4/6.4%.
Burst Enhancement has been replaced with "Berserker Technique"
- Damage to enemies increases by 0/2.0/4.0%, Bloody Rush can now be used 3 times in Burst mode, and each use grants an increasingly powerful Bloody Rush. Bloody Rush damage increases by 0/10.0/20.0%, and can be used more quickly when chained with other skills. When using a normal skill in Burst mode, the cooldown of Bloody Rush is reduced by 9.0 seconds, and the Burst mode ends when the 3rd Bloody Rush is used.
Leap
Mutilate effect changed as follows
- Blood Slash no longer leaves a sword remnant, but consecutive slashes are faster. Damage to enemies is increased by 12.0/26.0/40.0%, and an additional 6.0/12.0/18.0% when in Mayhem state.
