Urnil Introduction

Ur'nil is the first Guardian you encounter in Raid Level 1 and you need to be at least 302 Item Level to enter this Guardian Raid. This Guardian drops Tier 1 Accessories, Upgrade Materials and Ability Stones as well as rare drops including Runes, Engraving Books and Cards. It takes 10% more damage from Water Element skills.

Ur'nil has simple and predictable attack patterns but also has an enraged state that increases its attack speed, damage and modifies some of the basic skills of the Guardian. Most of Ur'nil's attacks target the areas in front and behind the boss, so attacking Ur'nil from the side is the safest option.

Exhaust the hidden stamina bar of this Guardian as fast as possible with Stagger skills, otherwise the boss teleports to a random battle area more frequently. If you lack Stagger related skills in your party, make sure to use Whirlwind Grenade.

This Guardian guide assumes you know the basics of a Guardian Raid. Check out the General Guardian Raid Guide to learn more.

Special Interactions & Patterns

Counterable Charge
Enrage
Fire Ring Explosion (Donut)

Counterable Charge

Counter attack is possible during the Charge attack pattern. At the start of this attack animation, the Guardian glows blue. The player has a short window to cast a skill with a Counter Attack affix while standing in front of the Guardian. If you manage to pull this off fast enough, the Guardian's attack will be interrupted and staggered for a few seconds. This gives you and your team a short window to use buffs and deal additional damage.

Enrage

Enrage animation of Ur'nil. The Guardian switches to enraged phase a few minutes after the encounter. Once Ur'nil is enraged, the basic patterns are infused with additional power and speed.

Fire Ring Explosion (Donut)

Ur'nil summons a fire ring around it and reduces the Movement Speed of all players standing on it. The Ring explodes after a few seconds and deals massive damage. To avoid getting hit by this attack, you need to either stay really close or far away from Ur'nil.

This attack is usually used shortly before the Guardian escapes to another area if you couldn't stagger the guardian fast enough during the enraged phase.

General Patterns

Leap
Scratch
Fireball
Dash and Throw
Dash and Scratch

Leap

Normal
Enraged

Ur'nil leaps forward and uses a scratch attack to hit everyone in front of it in a small area. Side-stepping or dodging away from Ur'nil helps you avoid getting hit.

Ur'nil’s leap attack sends out a shock wave of explosions which can knock up a player multiple times. To avoid getting hit, side-stepping or dodging are the only options. Ur'nil can perform this attack multiple times in a row.

Scratch

Normal
Enraged

Ur'nil performs up to 3 scratch combo attacks in front of it which can hit and stagger the player multiple times.

The Scratch attack becomes a deadly series of attacks that stagger and knock back the player. In addition to the explosion damage, the player is afflicted with burn debuff for a few seconds and takes Damage over Time(DoT).

Fireball

Ur'nil summons a fireball in front of it that moves towards the guardian. Once it reaches Ur'nil, the guardian grabs it and tosses the fireball behind it.

There are two variants of this attack. The major difference is the landing spot of the fireball after the toss. One lands immediately behind and the one further away from Ur'nil. This is the highest damage dealing normal attack in Ur'nil's repertoire, avoid staying behind Ur'nil during this pattern!

Short
Long

Dash and Throw

Ur'nil charges towards a player. Once this attack hits a player, Ur'nil grabs and throws the player towards the back of the Guardian.

Dash and Scratch

The Guardian performs multiple short dashes followed by scratch attacks. On hit the player is staggered and knocked back. The Guardian performs this attack only during the enraged phase.
