God of Might is one of the 4 Trials of the Gods you encounter once reaching Torchlight Infinites Endgame, The Netherrealm. This mechanic that pits you against increasingly difficult enemies in a small area that spawns dangerous ground effects throughout it's duration. Once completing the encounter, running out of time, or leaving the arena for too long, you are awarded with loot focused on Embers and Legendary Items. This, like all of Torchlight Infinite's content systems, can be altered through the use of the Void Chart Constellations, Confusion Cards and Enhancement Compasses.

Mechanics

The Statue of Might spawns randomly on the Netherrealm Stage, interact with it to begin the encounter. Each floor summons a wave of Elite enemies, defeating them progresses you to the next stage and adds a more time to the encounter. Each wave also spawns a fire terra that deals a significant amount of DoT damage to your character, meaning you must dodge them or have a character with enough sustain to outlive the damage.

Dwarven Automatons are unique to God of Might. You can choose to focus entirely on these mobs with Star Talent choices, even going so far as to completely removing the loot dropped from the statue itself and focusing entirely on the Dwarven Automatons.

If you have a build capable of defeating this encounter with all the added difficulty from Enhancement Compasses and Star Talent nodes, it is a fantastic way to farm Legendary Gear, Ultimate Embers and Flame Elementium in the endgame.

The God of Might Void Chart is split into several different paths, each granting separate bonuses focusing on Embers, Legendary Gear and Dwarven Automatons;

  • 1. Pathing to the top of the Void Chart grants additional Drop Quantity for Embers and also provides a small chance for those Embers to be transformed into Ultimate Embers.
  • 2. This path massively reduces both the Skill Radius and Damage of the Fire Terra that spawns under players during the encounter.
  • 4. 15 Star Talents can be allocated for a total of 100% chance for God of Might to appear in your Netherrealm Stages. These are a good, free method to guarantee the encounter and can be used to free up a compass slot if necessary.
  • 5. This path increases the number of floors during the encounter, up to a maximum of 15. This is particularly strong as the last nodes grant;
    • Dwarven Automatons gain +3% additional Drop Quantity per floor. Monsters spawned have +20% additional HP.
    • The Statue of Might gains +3% additional Drop Quantity per floor during the God of Might trial. Player takes 20% additional damage.
  • 6. This tree focuses on Dwarven Automatons, with one Medium Node granting 3% chance for all monsters spawned during the encounter to become Dwarven Automatons.
    • For more Legendary Drops you can path to the Enraged - Might talent node to gain a large rarity bonus and spawn even more Automatons.
    • WARNING: If you path to this node you completely remove the loot from the statue itself so only take this path if you are using enhancement compasses or other Star Talent nodes that increase the number of Automatons you are likely to defeat.
  • The Micro nodes grant one of the following stats;
    • +2% Chance for 1 additional monster to be spawned when reaching a new floor.
    • +1% Drop Quantity
    • +1% additional Ember Drop Quantity
    • Chance for God of Might to appear in Stages.
    • +4% chance for the God of Might to be challenged 1 additional time.

All God of Might Confusion Cards are added via Void Chart Constellation Talent Nodes

There are 5 unique Confusion Cards related to the God of Might mechanic;

  • Willful - Might; Embers dropped during the God of Might Trial have a 50% chance to become Ultimate Embers.
  • Enraged - Might; Dwarven Automaton have a 36% chance to drop 1 additional piece of Legendary Gear.
  • Irritable - Might; +60%/38%/25% Chance for Embers to be duplicated during the God of Might Trial.
  • Indignant - Might; Dwarven Automatons have +90%/45%/30% increased Drop Rarity.
  • Mania - Might; +60%/40% additional Drop Quantity for Dwarven Automatons. +60%/40% additional Drop Quantity during the God of Might Trial.

Enhancement Compasses

The God of Might Enhancement Compasses are the final way to alter the mechanic in your Netherrealm Stages, there are 3 to choose from each one providing something unique. Importantly; multiple God of Might Enhancement compasses of a different rarity can be used together.

  • Might Compass - Guarantees the encounter in your stages whilst giving a minor buff to monster HP. A good option if you want to use God of Might but need to save 15 Star Talents.
  • Flourishing Might Compass - This compass massively buffs the loot dropped from the Statue of Might whilst granting monsters an additional 70% HP. This effect does not effect Dwarven Automatons and should never be used with the Medium Star Talent that reduces God of Might Drop Quantity by 100%.
  • Mecha Might Compass - This compass puts all of your focus on Dwarven Automatons. Granting 100% chance for monsters spawned during the encounter to replaced with them. This compass combined with Gear, Rarity compasses and other Automaton Star Talents is a great way to farm Priceless Gear and Legendaries.
