Material Transmutation Guide

Material Transmutation is, in essence, medieval alchemy. You turn multiple unwanted items you have into a single brand-new item. The conservation of energy and mass be damned.

You access the system by pressing ESC. Then go to the "Item" section.

1. There are a total of 5 Conversion Tiers. The higher the Tier, the better the expected rewards. How to raise Tiers is described later in this guide.

You can click on the % button to the right of "Expected Tier Reward" to see the rewards for each Tier. You're guaranteed bonus rewards as part of the process.

2. To raise a Tier, you need to sacrifice materials worth 2501 Points. You can use anything as a sacrifice, but you'll mostly use blue and purple gear because they are the most common items to acquire. Here are the point values for each piece of gear.
   • Rare (Blue) Weapon: 437 Points
   • Rare (Blue) Armor and Accessories: 218.5 Points
   • T1 Epic (Purple) Weapon: 2182 Points
   • T1 Epic (Purple) Armor and Accessories: 1091 Points
   • T2 Epic (Purple) Weapon: 6546 Points
   • T2 Epic (Purple) Armor and Accessories: 3273 Points

3. The system allows you to choose the loot table from which you want to receive a reward. You can receive a reward from the weapon, armor, accessory loot table, or all of them. Choosing all loot tables is not ideal, as you usually are aiming for a specific item.
   • Many players choose the accessory loot table because they're able to acquire BiS accessories that are difficult to obtain elsewhere.

Transforming Artifacts

You can do the same thing with Artifacts instead of equipment. Just switch the tab!

The most important part is the rewards for each tier! Efficiency-wise, it's best to just go for the Tier 2 conversion. No other tier is efficient.

Click the % icon to the right of the Expected Tier Reward to see the rewards for each tier.
