Last Updated:September 26, 2024|Changelog

You know that huge whale in the sky? The one that drops enormous stones you can mine in her wake? Yeah, her name is Gigantrite. She's a rather peaceful entity, allowing you to ride on her back and tour all of Solisium.

Gigantrite Routes

At 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00, and 23:00, Gigantrite spawns. Depending on where she starts, she takes different routes throughout Laslan and/or Stonegard. To board, there are specific locations you must fly from as she technically doesn't have a "stop" so to speak.

Fonos Basin Route

You have several chances to board Gigantrite if she starts near Fonos Basin. These boarding points are at Purelight Tower, Starlight Observatory, and Veder Lookout. Besides sightseeing, the only stop of note along this route is Saurodoma Island.

Kastleton Route

When she starts near Kastleton, there are two locations to fly onto Gigantrite. The first is at Starlight Observatory, and the other is just outside the Stonegard Castle Walls. This is an excellent route to fly into Stonegard Castle during Castle Siege or Saurodoma Island.

Stonegard Route

For this route, Gigantrite takes an excellent scenic tour of the Stoengard region. She passes by Stonegard Castle and Saurodoma Island. There's only one place you can fly onto Gigantrite, just outside Stonegard Castle Walls.

Codex Quests

Little Friend in the Sky

If you are not boarding Gigantrite to sightsee or to crash Stonegard Castle, what else is there to do? Well, you can complete one of the Nesting Grounds Codex Quest here, Little Friend in the Sky. Near the right wing, you can retrieve the Powerless Doll and proceed with the rest of the quest chain.

  • Gigantrite has 6 Marind Ore Nodes that respawn every 5 minutes.
    • They are not "global" nodes because if another player mines the node, it doesn't disappear for you.
    • There is a chance of you mining Precious Marind Ore here.

Vitalstones

Nicknamed "Whale Poop," Gigantrite drops Divine Beast Crystals along her path. You can mine these crystals and receive Vitalstones. You use Vitalstones on the Whale to gain Rare Marinds.
