Xesht

Tul Summon

Xesht summons a white hand sprouting ice. Ice projectiles shoot out, dealing cold damage that can chill and freeze.

You have five options:

• If you’re an evasion or energy shield build with a high amount of Energy Shield, you might be able to tank them.
• If you have a shield you can raise it to block the projectiles.
• Move far from the source of the projectiles to give yourself space to dodge the icicles.
• Stick close to Tul, and move around her, dodging all projectiles.
• Summon a Frost Wall to block all projectiles from reaching you.

Slotting in a Thawing Charm to further protect you from this mechanic is highly recommended.

Esh Summon

Xesht summons a blue hand sprouting lightning. A ring begins growing, culminating in an expanding lightning shockwave. This can be dodged into, or outranged by standing outside the area. If you opt to dodge, make sure you dodge towards the hand and not in any other direction.

Burrow

Xesht burrows into the ground, becoming invulnerable, chasing the player. After attempting to chase you, he stops and clap both his hands, slicing the ground in both directions. 

As soon as Xesht burrows, run away and make wide circles around the edge of the inner arena, and stay away until the slices are done.

You can also run into this move with an L-movement, this cancels it early but can be tricky to pull off without getting hit, so do this at your own risk.

Finger Gun

Xesht poises his right-hand for a shooting motion, and a sound plays to announce this attack. This attack is very slow, and even though the boss can move while doing this, you can still run circles around him to evade this attack very easily.

If you find yourself in a situation where this finger gun overlaps with other mechanics, you have the option of line of sighting this attack by hiding behind a wall(Frost Wall however does not work). However, your priority is still to remain close to him to deal with this attack in the safest way.

This attack can also be dodge-rolled.

Hand Smash

Xesht summons a slow-moving, hovering hand to chase you in the air. After a delay and a pink-ish purple telegraph, the hand slams down for massive damage. This is the hardest hitting attack in the fight. Pay attention to the purple and pink hand-shaped telegraph. That’s your cue to dodge out of the way.

Movement speed boots come in handy here, to give you extra leeway.

Note: You want to dodge to the side of the hand, the front being the fingers and wrist. This ensures you are dodging the shortest distance, making it more forgiving. You can tell the position of the hand by looking at its shadow while it’s still hovering above you.

Phase Transition

After reaching about half HP, Xesht stops in place with a voice line, conjuring a purple portal above him, indicating his transition to phase 2. This is the safest time in the whole fight, and where you are free to deal as much damage as you want, as it is completely safe to DPS him.

From now on, Xesht can use his Arm Smashes, which frequently overlap with every other mechanic mentioned.

Triple Blast

Xesht poises for an attack with both his hand-wings, and a sound plays to announce this attack. His shoulders glow purple, and after a delay, he shoots out 3 sets of double shots that deal area damage.

Much like the Finger Gun attack, the safest way of dealing with this is by standing close and running circles around Xesht. He remains mobile during the whole sequence, but it is still possible to strafe all of the hits. If you want to be extra safe, dodge in his direction for each shot.

Frost Wall blocks this attack, so as an alternative to dodging this mechanic you can summon Frost Walls for each shot Xesht fires at you.

Combo Summon

Xesht summons both the Esh and Tul hands to do a combined attack. Deal with the Tul hand as if it were on its own, and decide whether you want to dodge into the Esh lightning wave, or outrange both of them.

Xoph Sun Orb

Xesht conjures a fire orb above his head. This is the easiest attack to deal with in this fight, giving you a great opportunity to output damage. When you see the orange orb above him, simply walk away from the direction he's facing and continue dealing damage.
