The Misery Gauntlet has come to a close and as the dust settles, we sweep some spare body parts under the nearest rug. With Affliction League, this has been one of the most challenging Gauntlet events in a long time. We've seen plenty of close calls, triumphant successes and RIP Clips, so let's tally the damage.
A Look Back
Here's a look back at the Misery Gauntlet events so far highlighting some of the biggest events like Bounties and RIP clips.
Ladder & Bounties
Early on, the ladder standings were primarily tied to level, but as the days passed and bosses fell it became about points. To get the most points, you needed to defeat Uber bosses and Maven invitations. To qualify, players needed to use a Transfigured skill others like Penance Brand and Detonate Dead were banned entirely. Here's the final standing taken from PoERacing.

Here's the final standing for the top 3 players in the Gauntlet. Everyone pushed until the last minute, resulting in zero survivors in the overall top 3 and very few in the top 3 of the class ladder.

RIP Clips
Here are a few of our favorite Misery Gauntlet RIP Clips, both from the recent days and also looking back across the entire gauntlet. In terms of body count Uber Bosses absolutely took the cake, but even act bosses like Ralakesh managed to get a surprising number of kills.
Big RIPs
- Ben absolutely dominated the gauntlet, taking down all of the Uber bosses and claiming points. Until he encountered the one foe he could not defeat, Cortex's fist.
- While doing battle against the Searing Exarch, Goratha discovered the sweet taste of freedom. Turns out the Exarch doesn't even need his Meteor walls to cause mayhem.
- Right at the end of the Gauntlet, Queen Hyrri claimed one last victim in Carn. She's taken quite a few racers out of the running over the course of the Misery Gauntlet.
- Positioning in the Meteor phase is key, but it's easy to run into issues with the wall. Soul rose to #2 in the gauntlet before the Exarch's Meteors put a stop to his meteoric rise.
- Pillebrille put up a good fight making slow and steady progress throughout the 10 days. Continuing with the "RIP to meteor" theme, Sirus took him out with a last minute Maze. The pathing is a bit janky and this is an unfortunate situation to find yourself in.
- SBB has proven persistence is key after achieving rank #1 for ascendant. But there have been quite a few RIPs across several classes along the way.
- Rudy got shotgunned by some particularly vicious cannibals while doing battle against Oozebeak. I guess it's time to enter free-fall in delve and head towards 30k depth.

- xSayByeBye claiming the White Socket Bounty.
- Raxxanterax got a 6-link in a single click!
- Terence_ got 3 Apothecaries from Ritual, then gambled them all away.
- Alkaizer exited the gauntlet after bricking his axe.
- Ben claimed the bounty for clearing a T17 Valdo's Map.
