Crafting a +2 Spell Weapon for Explosive Trap Builds

Socket these Fossils into a 4-socket Resonator (Prime Chaotic Resonator):

Tip: Only prepare one Resonator at a time so you don't risk wasting Currency.

Use your Prime Chaotic Resonator on the Rune Dagger until you see +1 to Level of all Spell Skill Gems. This is a 1/4 or 1/5 chance depending on the item level. Socket one Resonator at a time so you don't waste Currency.

Optional: Use Orbs of Alteration and Orbs of Augmentation along with Regal Orbs instead. This is cheaper but very time consuming so it's not recommended (~1/1900 chance).

You must remove any other modifiers other than your Fractured Suffix and +1 Spell Prefix. There is a very high chance your Fossil combination will Reforge into increased Spell Damage so you will need to use Orbs of Annulment then go back to Step 3 if you fail and remove the +1 Spell.

Once +1 Spell Skill Gems is your only modifier (other than the Fractured one), Benchcraft Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers, Cannot roll Attack Modifiers, and Adds (12-16) to (23-27) Fire Damage to Spells.

Go to your Horticrafting Bench and use an Add Fire for 15000 Wild Crystallised Lifeforce to guarantee +1 to Level of all Fire Spell Skill Gems. This will also remove a random modifier from the item afterward.

There is a 1/4 chance for the +1 to Level of all Spell Skill Gems Prefix to be removed. If you get unlucky and this happens, you will need to go back to Step 2.

Finish by removing all Benchcrafted modifiers through the Crafting Bench then recraft Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers. Finish with (46-50)% increased Spell Damage, Gain 4% of Non-Chaos Damage as extra Chaos Damage and (13-15)% chance to deal Double Damage while Focused.

Explosive Trap

To finish up your new Explosive Trap Weapon, go to your Horticrafting Bench and Enchant your Rune Dagger with Quality does not increase Physical Damage, Grants 1% increased Elemental Damage per 2% Quality for 5000 Vivid Crystallised Lifeforce. Your weapon is now done!
