Nacrasena Guardian Raid Guide

Last Updated:March 3, 2024

Nacrasena Introduction

Nacrasena is the second Raid Level 2 Guardian and you need to be at least 500 Item Level to enter this Guardian Raid. This Guardian drops Tier 1 Accessories, Upgrade Materials and Ability Stones as well as rare drops including Runes, Engraving Books and Cards. It takes 10% more damage from Earth Element skills.

Nacrasena is an agile Guardian with a lot of fast attack animations. This is especially hard for classes with long skill animations. Once you get used to the attack patterns and animations, the difficulty drops significantly.

Cutting the tail off of Nacrasena gets rid of most of its attacks, making the fight much easier until the Guardian escapes to a different area and regrows its tail.

Additionally, Countering and having a decent amount of Stagger related Combat Items or skills makes this fight way easier.

This Guardian guide assumes you know the basics of a Guardian Raid. Check out the General Guardian Raid Guide to learn more.

Special Interactions & Patterns

Counterable Charge
Electric Charge
Tail Cut

Counterable Charge

Counter attack is possible during the Charge attack pattern. At the start of this attack animation, the Guardian glows blue. The player has a short window to cast a skill with a Counter Attack affix while standing in front of the Guardian. If you manage to pull this off fast enough, the Guardian's attack will be interrupted and staggered for a few seconds. This gives you and your team a short window to use buffs and deal additional damage.

This charge attack can hit you multiple times and deal moderate damage if you fail to time your Counter skills properly.

Electric Charge

The Guardian buries its 2 claws into the ground and lifts its tail into the air for a few seconds to charge up. This charge animation lasts long, use this time to deal as much damage as possible. When the Guardian is fully charged the stinger is surrounded by lightning effects and new attacks are added to the attack pool.

Tail Cut

Once you Stagger Nacrasena by depleting the hidden Stagger bar, the Weak Spot will be exposed. Do this by using skills and Combat Items with a Stagger affix. During the exposed state, you have a small time frame to cut the tail. The tail is cut once enough Weak Spot damage is done. Depending on the party composition and Combat Items used it might take 2 or more attempts to cut the tail.

Be aware that Countering the charge attack doesn't expose the weak spot. It is also important to not fight the Guardian too close to a wall. If you Stagger Nacrasena too close to a wall, you might not be able to hit the Weak Spot on the tail properly.

General Patterns

Jump
Tail Swipe
Claw Strike
Decomposing Breath
Dig and Chase
Summoning Scorpions
Triple Lightning Strike
Lightning Barrage
Lightning Zap

Jump

Nacrasena crosses and lifts its claws before jumping. On impact it deals medium damage to nearby players and knocks them up. This attack can be performed up to two times in a row by the Guardian and paralyzes on hit after the Electric Charge attack.

Tail Swipe

The Guardian smashes its tail to the ground and swipes from left to right. This attack hits everyone in a big area behind the Guardian and causes stagger. The damage dealt is low and the Stagger can be prevented by using any skills with Super Armor affix.

Claw Strike

Nacrasena slams its claws to the ground while moving forward. This Skill causes stagger on hit and deals medium damage.

Decomposing Breath

The Guardian performs 2 short breath attacks in front of it, often multiple times in a row. The hitbox of the AoE is small and the damage is low, but this attack also drains your mana and energy.
The mana/energy drain effect often leads to a huge DPS drop and should be avoided at all costs.

Dig and Chase

After burying into the ground, Nacrasena starts to chase a player from beneath the surface. A dusk trail above ground indicates the target Nacrasena is chasing. Scatter as soon as the Guardian disappears and use the dodge skill when you see it resurfacing. If you react too slowly, the Guardian will land on you and deal high damage on impact which often one shots squishy classes.

Summoning Scorpions

Small scorpions are summoned around the Guardian. The attack animation lasts long, so make sure to kill the small scorpions fast and use the remaining time to deal some uninterrupted damage to the Guardian.

Triple Lightning Strike

Nacrasena lifts its tail up and is surrounded by a shield. Shortly afterwards a player is targeted by 3 thunder strikes. The first 2 strikes do medium damage and cause stagger on hit and the 3rd one does high damage and should be avoided at all costs. Run away from teammates as soon as you see indication of the first strike.

Aside from the primary lightning strikes discussed above, there is also a chance that an additional lightning strike being cast behind the boss between the 2nd and 3rd strike.

Lightning Barrage

The Guardian bangs the ground with its claws and buries its tail into the ground before summoning multiple small lightning strikes around it. The lightning strikes deal low damage and knock up the player on hit, you can get hit by multiple lightning strikes successively, so be careful. The safest option is to run away from the Guardian, but with quick reaction time you can stay in the fight and doge the strikes as well.

Lightning Zap

Basic
Combo

The Guardian charges its stinger with electric power and discharges it twice towards a player. On hit the player takes damage and gets paralyzed for a few seconds. To avoid getting hit, you should run clockwise or counter clockwise around the boss. If you want to prevent your teammates from getting hit by the attack, you can change your direction as soon as the first lightning zap hits the ground.
Not only does this attack deal high damage but Nacrasena can also use a follow up combo attack on a paralyzed target.

If a player is paralyzed by the lightning zap attack, Nacrasena can pierce and grab the player with its stinger and hold the player in the air. Meanwhile the remaining players should use skills and Combat Items with a Stagger affix to free the grabbed player. If the Guardian doesn't get interrupted within that short window, it starts to slam the grabbed player from left to right multiple times. This attack not only deals massive damage to the grabbed player but also to the players around the slammed area.

Be aware that this grab can combo and can be performed if you get paralyzed by the Jump attack.
