1. Meet Sev outside Esret - Travel to and speak with Sev in the southern part of Fethis Wetlands.
2. Enter the Esret Chapel - Travel a bit to west to enter the Esret Chapel.
3. Enter the Halls of Dark Portent - Inside Esret Chapel is the Halls of Dark Portent. Enter.
4. Search for Traces of Elias - Travel to the end of the Halls of Dark Portent mini-dungeon.
5. Break down the door - Destroy the Engraved Stone Door.
6. Slay the Ghouls - Kill the Ghouls that spawn as you destroy the Engraved Stone Door.
7. Investigate the room beyond - Walk into the next room.
8. Slay the Blood Echo - Kill the boss that spawns when you walk into the room.
9. Inspect Symon's Corpse - Click on Symon's Corpse.
10. Collect Symon's Tattered Journal - Click on Symon's Tattered Journal.
11. Return to Father Dymus - Exit the Halls of Dark Portent and travel back to and speak with Father Dymus in Zarbinzet. This completes the quest and ends the entire To Walk a Dark Path quest-chain.
