Blood Harvest and Hunter’s Acclaim – Season of Blood
Today we are going to talk about the new seasonal event and accompanying progression system, Blood Harvest and Hunter's Acclaim. During the Developer Livestream, these systems were announced as part of the content added with Season 2, and they are critical to farm components to unlock and upgrade your Vampiric Powers. Let's dive in and slay some vampires, shall we.
Blood Harvest
The Blood Harvest Seasonal Event is the main and best way to farm many items and Reputation for the Hunter's Acclaim (we'll talk about in a little bit). Starting right from Level 1, you will be able to open your map and find one of these Harvest Events taking place in a Zone anywhere in the world. They rotate between different Zones of different Regions (similar to how Helltides work). Unlike Helltides, they will always be a Harvest Event up, so you never have downtime and that FOMO feeling.
As hinted at, a Blood Harvest is a great farming spot. You can farm for items such as:
- Blood Lures - Used to summon Blood Seekers in an attempt to get Seeker Keys.
- Seeker Keys - Dropped from Blood Seekers that are used to free prisoners during a Harvest Event or open Seeker Caches. These can contain a variety of Pact Armors, Pact Consumables, and Potent Blood.
- Potent Blood - Used to randomly unlock a Vampiric Power or upgrade a currently used Power.
- Cleansing Acid - Used to remove ALL Pacts from Pact Armor. Can be altered at the Alchemists to only remove 1 of the 3 types of Pacts.
- Reputation - Earned by killing enemies during the Harvest Event and doing other activities, Local Events, etc. Used to unlock Reward Tiers at the Hunter's Acclaim Board in a major city.
As you can see, Blood Harvest is an important activity to do. Not only is it a different activity, it enables you to get and upgrade your Vampiric Powers to maximize your build for the season.
Hunter's Acclaim
The Hunter's Acclaim is a seasonal progression system that unlocks a variety of rewards. As mentioned in the previous section, you earn Reputation by killing enemies during the Harvest Event and doing other activities, Local Events, etc. This unlocks higher Tier rewards. With 18 Reward Tiers, you have plenty to work for. Some of the items you can obtain are:
- Gear (of all types)
- Crafting materials
- Various Pact Consumables
- Vampiric Powers
Make sure you take part in a Blood Harvest Event to get some valuable resources. They enable you to supercharge your Powers, and to customize your build more than before.
