Akram & Bahadur Boss Guide

Akram and Bahadur are the final bosses of the Jungle Zone, combining raw might with deadly toxins to challenge any would-be Wizards of Legend. This Boss Guide details Akram & Bahadur's core and enrage mechanics, discusses strategies to avoid these mechanics, and demonstrates how to take the pair down with an example gameplay video.

Akram and Bahadur Boss Fight

Mechanics

  • Triple Swing - At close range, Bahadur swings his club 3 times in a wide arc toward the player. Time your evades or other iframes with each swing to avoid damage, or maintain distance to avoid this sequence entirely. At low health, Bahadur performs 4 swings.
  • Acidic Fissure - Bahadur lifts his club over his head before slamming it into the ground, creating a cone-shaped ground effect that extends to the edge of the arena before dissipating. Sidestep this maneuver when you see it.
  • Mushroom Spores - Akram lobs 5 mushroom spores at the player in rapid succession, each dealing mild AoE damage. Their point of impact is telegraphed by red circles on the ground and they are generally easy to avoid.
  • Boulder Toss - Bahadur hurls a Boulder directly at the player. When it reaches a wall, the Boulder ricochets several times before coming to rest. The initial throw is threatening, but the ricochets are unlikely to coincide with your path.
  • Body Slam - Bahadur leaps into the sky and targets the player's location. On impact, he deals high damage in a large AoE. This attack is difficult to avoid simply by creating distance, and you're best off timing your evade with the impact.

Enrage mechanic - When damaged, the duo returns to the center of the arena. Akram releases a series of Mushroom Spores, mostly at close range, while Bahadur tosses Boulders in random directions. The duo rotates counter-clockwise, so your best bet to avoid damage during this phase is to stay near the outside of the arena, moving slightly clockwise when targeted by a Boulder.

Rewards

As a Zone Boss, defeating Akram & Bahadur awards you with a random Arcana that typically has multiple enhancements already attached. What's more, besting a Zone Boss reveals a Green Portal that leads to a Healing Room, where you can elect to either recover a significant amount of health or increase your maximum health for the remainder of the run.

Summary

You always encounter Akram & Bahadur at the end of the Jungle Zone, the first Zone in Wizard of Legend 2. Generally speaking, maintaining distance from the duo is the best strategy to avoid some of their more vicious attacks, including Triple Swing and Mushroom Spores. Defeating them rewards you with a random, enhanced Arcana and grants access to a Healing Room where you can choose to either heal for a large amount or increase your maximum HP.
