FilterBlade Launch for Path of Exile 2

Early Access

Last Updated:January 14, 2025

NeverSink has launched FilterBlade for Path of Exile 2 and his full Path of Exile 2 Loot Filter! This includes loot filter customization, multiple strictnesses, and even the new Dark Mode style. Here is a rundown from the man himself on the features available for the Path of Exile 2 release.

FilterBlade Launch

After months of work (since we had to start way before the early access launch) we finally released:

  • FilterBlade for PoE2
  • NeverSink’s filter for PoE2

The filter features several powerful tools and features, such as:

  • Item colors, map icons, and beams are clustered to make item recognition easier and minimize the cognitive efforts required to make good decisions. Plus due to the reuse of similar patterns, it's good for your dopamine-on-drop-maxing.
  • 7 levels of strictness ranging from soft to uber-plus-strict (semi-strict is recommended for beginners). These define the number of items hidden. A higher strictness filter shows fewer items!
  • Economy based tier lists: currencies, runes, soul cores, catalysts, distilled emotions, essences, omens, fragments/tablets and others. Most bases come with 6 tiers (S,A,B,C,D,E) that are economically organized and easily distinguishable.
  • Written using a dedicated programming domain language to minimize errors, optimize performance, increase quality and make its management easier. This concept has been proven quite effective in the many years that I've been supporting PoE1.
  • A comprehensive tiering of every single base type from the endgame's player perspective.
  • Rare and normal/magic crafting progression: the filter now scales the base types available depending on the map tier.
  • Special highlight and treatment for bases in area level 82.
  • Campaign leveling and endgame modes with an automatic switch at level 65.
  • Every single item type in the game is tiered or otherwise handled. If it's NOT known, the filter will notify you with a special PINK/CYAN color.
  • The filter comes with a companion website: FilterBlade.xyz. FilterBlade allows modifying, previewing and customizing the filter to your needs and to your specific build. It's also a great way to learn what the filter can do and it's many features/colors.

Filter Styles

The filter is also released in the new dark mode style, which received a very positive reception!

  • Follow my filters with your account - Great for beginners. It's quick, easy and auto-updates. Downside: no modifications/styles/custom sounds. Just make sure to follow my PoE2 filters. You'll then find my filters in the game's options menu!
  • GitHub Project - you can also download the ZIP from GitHub. Read the installation instructions in the readme.md

What Strictness to Start With?

StrictnessPurpose
Semi-StrictMy personal recommendation is start with semi-strict.
It hides the worst rares and bases, serving as a good starting point.
Once you feel you’re finding too much, you can switch to…
StrictHides quite a few poor rares and medium-bad bases
Very StrictHides many rares, T1-6 maps, most bases. It’s a good filter to farm T13-14+ maps
Uber StrictHides T1-13 maps, bad uniques, nearly all rares, low currencies.
This is likely the highest strictness you’ll need!

There’s a lot of nice ways to improve your leveling and endgame experience:

Here are 3 advice to quickly improve the filter for YOUR build:

  1. Hide armour classes you don’t care about

  1. Get familiar with, or adjust chancing bases. Chancing bases sell well to other players and are a fun thing to gamble. A single normal stellar amulet can sell for 20ex+.

  1. Disable currencies you don’t need or have too many of:
