Skills
You start out with a simple Lightning Rod into Lightning Arrow combo for your early Leveling.
Add in Freezing Salvo and Electrocuting Arrow for Freeze and Electrocute on harder enemies.
After swapping to Gas Arrow at level 22, combo your Gas Arrow once or twice into Flame Wall to detonate the gas for multiple explosions.
Most of the enemies die to a single Gas Arrow combo. Use Stormcaller Arrow on difficult monsters to apply Shock, drastically increasing damage against them.
Gas Arrow has high mana cost that can be hard to sustain. Support it with Inspiration and make sure to use the best Mana Flask possible at your level.
It is of utmost importance that you cut Flame Wall with your first available Uncut Skill Gem II to prevent it from requiring a large amount of Intelligence. You require this later for Gas Arrow.
For Shield Charge cut it with one of your first Uncut Skill Gem III to avoid it gaining a high Strength requirement.
Select Herald of Thunder from your first Uncut Spirit Gem as you earn your first +30 Spirit for large amounts of damage through Coming Calamity. If you get another Uncut Spirit Gem select Herald of Ash as you need it for your swap to Gas Arrow. Select Wind Dancer once you get to 60 Spirit further into the campaign for a nice boost to survival.
Once you hit level 22 and earn your first Uncut Skill Gem VII and select Gas Arrow, you stop using Lightning Rod into Lightning Arrow entirely.
From this point forward your damage combo is to use Gas Arrow with Scattershot and Fire Infusion support, followed by Flame Wall with Spell Cascade and Fortress supports to explode the Poison Gas Clouds created by Gas Arrow.
Once the enemy has an active Ignite on them, you can freely repeat Gas Arrow into them to have them instantly detonated.
For particularly strong enemies, use Stormcaller Arrow to affect the enemies with Shock causing them to take 20% more damage. After receiving your first Uncut Support Gem III select Overcharge and attach it to Stormcaller Arrow along with Lasting Shock for a long duration 35% Shock causing the enemies to take even more damage.
To increase your speed through the campaign even further. Find and equip a Shield in your second weapon set and equip the Shield Charge skill with Martial Tempo and Ingenuity. This stops when hitting enemies so use it for traversal between packs of enemies or when backtracking to save significant amounts of time.
Once you reach Act 3, kill Ignagduk, The Bog Witch for +30 Spirit, cut the Uncut Spirit Gem into Wind Dancer for extra Evasion and a small push to enemies after being attacked allowing you to escape more easily.

- Pick Gathering Winds for your first ascendancy selection. This provides movement speed, action speed and evasion through the stacking Tailwind buff.
- Projectile Proximity Specialisation selecting Point Blank grants you a large amount of damage against enemies in close range.
- Endless Munitions offers an additional projectile to all skills for more explosive damage.
Gearing
- By far the best way to get better gear in the campaign is to check the Vendor in Town each time you level up! As vendors change their offerings based on your level this is your best way to find upgrades. If you are desperately in need of a Weapon upgrade, check the previous Act's vendors as well.
- Prioritize +#% to Fire, Cold and Lightning Resistance as well as attributes and +# to Maximum Life on your gear. This build requires high attributes as you reach the end of Act 3, so finding gear with it early pays dividends in the future. Having Life Regeneration on just a couple pieces as well allows you to be more conservative with your Life Flask usage.
- Bows with % increased Physical Damage or Elemental Damage can last you a very long time if they are very well rolled. Prioritize Dualstring Bow Bases for the additional Projectile with Bow Skills, even if the Tooltip DPS is lower. You increase your DPS by looking for the following stats, sorted by order of importance:
- % increased Physical Damage
- Adds # to # Physical/Fire/Cold/Lightning Damage
- + Levels of Projectile Skills
- % Attack Speed
- % increased Elemental Damage with Attacks
- A great source of gear is checking vendors occasionally for promising bases to craft on with Orb of Transmutation, Orb of Augmentation and Regal Orb
- To finish off your item use one or two Artificer's Orb and socket defensive Runes like Body Rune or Glacial Rune
- Be sure to pickup all items with Rune Sockets regardless of color and salvage them for Artificer's Shards
- If you are still struggling check out our Survival Guide for additional useful information!
