Grinding Gear Games has dropped a few teasers ahead of Exilecon 2023, including a tentative date for Path of Exile's newest 3.22 Expansion! What is 3.22 about? We have no idea but since there's no information, we have no proof this isn't the long awaited boat league.
"We've seen a lot of people asking when our 3.22 expansion will launch. It's currently looking like it will launch on August 18th (PDT). This isn't fully locked in yet. However, we will confirm its launch date at ExileCon in just a few weeks." ~ GGG Community Team
Author's Note: Personally I've been enjoying the 4 month league release cycle. When I'm enjoying a league I like having the extra time to try lots of builds. Or if I'm enjoying it less I take the time to play other games.
I have high hopes for 3.22, because it's been hinted there's going to be a major endgame revamp. On top of that, I'm dying to know more about Path of Exile 2! So I can't wait for the announcements during Exilecon 2023.
Crucible Events
There's been some speculation within the community on whether or not GGG plans to hold events to close out Crucible League. Today they confirmed there won't be any events this time around. While it's unfortunate that there won't be any events to close out the league, hosting a convention is a lot of work.
"We've also noted that quite a few people have asked whether or not we'll be hosting end-of league-events before Crucible ends. We are currently all-hands-on-deck working on ExileCon, Path of Exile 2 and the 3.22 expansion so we aren't able to host any events this time around." ~ GGG Community Team
