Animate Guardian of Smiting and Smite of Divine Judgement Reveal

We got a sneak peek at the Animate Guardian of Smiting using Smite of Divine Judgment, two new Transfigured Gems.

The Animate Guardian is more than a collection of your unwanted Armour and Weapons. It's a steady companion which provides buffs, debuffs and even damage.

An Animate Guardian of Smiting looks to be specialized for damage. Smite calls down Lightning from above, dealing damage to enemies caught in the area of effect.

For an Animate Guardian the clear and coverage on Smite looks pretty good. But knowing some specifics would be great, "of Smiting" refers to the Guardian being able to use Smite. But what's Smite of Divine Judgment?

Normally, Smite does the following;

Divine Judgment could be Lightning and Fire similar to other Holy themed skills like Purifying Flame and Wave of Conviction. Alternatively it could eschew the Aura in exchange for higher direct damage. From what we've seen so far, most of the Transfigured Gems are behavioral changes and in some cases enable entirely new build archetypes!

Grinding Gear Games revealed a ton of information on Affliction League and Path of Exile 2! The new PoE2 Mercenary Class, Crossbows, and Attachments bring shooter flare to the ARPG Genre. The 3.23 League brings the new Affliction mechanic, Wildwood Ascendancies, Ultimatum and the new Transfigured Gems like Animate Guardian of Smiting and Smite of Divine Judgment.
