2.1 PTR Campfire Chat Wrap-Up

Vessel of Hatred expansion and Season 6 are live for more than a month now. It's now time to think about the 2.1 PTR update for Season 7! Blizzard just finished the 2.1 PTR Campfire Chat!

2.1 Patch PTR Announcement

• The 2.1 Patch Notes for Season 7 will be available next wednesday on November 27th.
• The 2.1 PTR will have Account Copy available to take your Account data and Characters and copy that data to use on the PTR.
• PTR Boost Additions to help testing and feedbacks:
  • Season 7 Unique Items
  • Witchcraft Powers
  • Witchcraft Progression Items

Class Changes

Barbarian

• Many buffs to various Skills and Passives
  • Hammer of the Ancients Buffs
  • Walking Arsenal Changes
  • Earthquake Buffs
  • New Aspect for Earthquake: Aspect of Incendiary Fissures

Sorceress

• Adjusted many parts of the kit that forced many players into becoming a burning conjuration Sorceress to compete.
  • Fire Bolt Enchantment rework. Removed the Burning damage and added a heal mechanic.
  • Devouring Blaze - Your Pyromancy Skills deals 10% increased Critical Strike Damage.
• Ball Lightning Updates (Mage's Ball Lightning, Wizrd Ball's Lightning).
• New Unique Focus: Strike of Stormhorn which turn Ball Lightning into a splash projectile.
• New Unique Focus: Okun's Catalyst which makes Ball Lightnings orbit around you.

Druid

• Season of the Werewolf! Many Werewolf buffs and updates to Poison builds.
  • Updates to Shred. Now enhances Poison damage.
  • Savage Boulder now deals Poison damage and applies an additional 156 [56%] Poison damage over 4 seconds.
  • Innate Blood Howl - Also generates 20 Spirit. You deal 25% increased damage until you shapeshift out of Werewolf form.
  • Aspect of the Blurred Beast - Shred deals 55-75% more damage, and Shred's first dash lands up to 4 additional strikes based on distance travelled.
  • Aspect of Wolf's Rain - Casting Hurricane also spawns a smaller hurricane on your Wolves for 8 seconds. These hurricanes deals 5-15% of Hurricane's damage for each active Wolf.

Rogue

• Shadow Clones are gaining the Summon skill tag and now attribute all of their damage to the player. This means they can trigger all Lucky Hit effects and interact with all damage modifiers and multipliers.
  Note: This applies to all summons, for example Druid Companions.
• New Unique Boots: Assassin's Stride. Skills are always Shadow Imbued with 40-80% increased potency.
• Caltrops Update. The jumping back animation has been removed, making the skill more usable.

Necromancer

• Blood Necromancer Buffs: Improved Itemization + New Overpower synergies.
• Rathma's Vigor Key Passive Changes.
• New Unique Pants: Kessime's Legacy - Blood Wave now forms a wave on each side of you.
• New Unique Pants: Indira's Memory - Blood Wave now triggers a Bone Prison on the enemies hit. Bone Spear becomes a Blood skill and will drain 10% Maximum Life each cast after hitting an enemy to consume a surrounding Corpse and launch one new Bone Spear from it.

Spiritborn

• Fixed multiple issues that caused the Spiritborn to deal more damage than intended.
• Centipede and Razor Wings Buffs.
• Rod of Kepeleke Nerf (0.5% Critical Strike Damage per Vigor point down from 3%).
• New Legendary Aspect: Aspect of Endless Talons for Razor Wings.
• Underused Unique Updates: Ring of Writhing Moon. Pestilent Swarm now spawn every 4 seconds (Down from 10 seconds).

General

• Ultimate Updates
  • New bonuses that unlock at Rank 5 that enhance their gameplay or damage scaling.
  • New support for Ultimate damage in the Skill Tree and Paragon Boards.
• Additional Legendaries added geared towards Ultimate Support.
  • 2 New Legendary Aspects: Vehement Brawler's Aspect and Aspect of Apogeic Furor.

• Updating many Runewords.
  • All Invocation Runes have Overflow. The cost of many have also been reduced to allow them to proc and Overflow more often.
  • Some Ritual Runes have been redesigned to have lrge potential moments of Overflow.

• 3 New Runewords: Nagu, Igni and Chac.

Season 7 Content

• It is the first time Seasonal Realm will be available on PTR because there's a lot of Seasonal Content.
• It is the first time since Season 2 (Season of Blood Powers), Seasonal Mode will have special powers with Witchcraft.

Witchcraft

• Collect Restless Rot from defeating Headrotten. Headrotten are abominations spawning from Tree of Whispers.
• Visit an Altar and offer Restless Rot in exchange for Witchcraft.
• Equipping Witchcrft is simple:
  • Equip your power in the Witchcraft menu
  • 5 Normal Powers & 1 Unique Power
  • Upgrade your Witchcraft directly in inventory using Restless Rot

• Witchcraft Rewards:
  • Collect Coven's Favor from WHispers
  • Unlock standrd rewards including Items, Materials...
  • At specific Tiers, unlock more Witchcraft to learn.
  • Resplendent Spark returns!

• Dicover Forgotten Altars in dungeons across Sanctuary to learn Lost Powers!
• There will be over 20 Powers:

New Activity: Headhunts

• Whispers have intensified as the Tree searches for Headrotten.
• These are subzone takeovers like Helltides.
• Headhunts feature all new Whispers mixed with existing ones.
• Completing Whispers has a chance of spawning a Headrotten Boss.
• Delivering a Boss' Head to the Tree rewards you with Occult Gems.
• Occult Gems are special socketables tht have Unique effects that help fine tune player's build:

Tree of Whispers Updates

• The "Town" around the Tree has been updated with a better layout.
• Raven of the Tree appears every Headhunt to get your Caches to avoid going back to town as much as possible.
• Ancestral Caches have been added with a guaranteed Ancestral Item.

Quality of Life Updates

• Paragon Migration
• Unique power roll Updates
• Ancestral Items:
  • Drop the top end of Aspect rolls
  • Baseline drop rate increased
• Gem Fragment conversion. There will be less Gem drops.
• Class Quest Updates:
  • Rewards unlock at the gated level.
  • Class Quest can still be completed.
• Armory is coming!
