The full list of Counter Strike 2 May Patch Notes are covered below.

Key Takeaways

  • Bug Fixes - Many bug fixes including a bug where the game would stop taking keyboard input during the end-of-match map vote, a bug that prevented HE grenade explosions from breaking the vents in de_nuke, a bug where the in-air kill feed icon didn't work with certain weapons and many more.
  • Crosshair Clarity - Reduced the opacity of teammate names near the crosshair.
  • Molotov & Incendiary grenades - Both the molotov and incendiary grenades height of the 'pillar' of flame decrease over time. The Incendiary grenade had its duration decreased, area that flame spreads decreased, and price reduced from 600 to 500.
  • Skin Rentals - When players open a Kilowatt case with a key, they have the option to rent the entire Kilowatt collection for a week instead of receiving an item from the collection. You can't modify rented weapons with stickers or name tags.
  • Bomb Plant Reward for Terrorist - You now receive 600$ instead of 800$, as a terrorist, for planting the bomb and losing the round. This change on the first-round will decrease the impact on subsequent rounds.

Counter Strike 2 May Patch Notes Conclusion

From fixing bugs with the scoreboard to improving visibility and performance the Counter Strike 2 May Patch Notes help to polish and smooth out the gameplay across the board. The reduced bomb plant money for the terrorist team discourages the "just get the bomb down" strats for early rounds or at least reduce the available utility on early rounds for teams that only manage to get a bomb plant. The Molotov and Incendiary grenade pillar height reduction further helps visibility during gunfights. Stay tuned to see how the changes effect the fragile balance of maps being T sided or CT sided. The bomb plant money change may leave CT side in full control from the start, or the incendiary nerfs for CT's make to harder to hold out the T's from taking the site and make it harder to clear spots for retakes.
