How to Get Recovery

Learn how to get the powerful Recovery Picto in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. You get the level 20 version, which offers +2000 maximum health. There is no combat needed to obtain the Picto, meaning you can get it early to give yourself a huge advantage against your foes.

You need 90,000 Chroma to get the Recovery Picto. You can get more Chroma by picking it up around the world or defeating enemies. If you don't have enough yet, pin this page and come back later.

Once you have enough Chroma, head to the Red Woods on your map. Depending on your level, this area may show a Danger! warning. Ignore this, you don't need to fight any enemies to obtain the Picto.

Upon entering the Red Woods, head to the odd-looking fountain in the center of the room. Speak to it, then offer 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, and 50,000 Chroma (for a total of 90,000).

It turns out this fountain is a friendly Benisseur. In exchange for listening to the tales of his travels, he rewards you with a level 20 version of the Recovery Picto. Not only does this offer you a powerful passive healing effect, but the health and defense offered by a level 20 Picto is insanely powerful in the early game.

If you wish, you can fight the Benisseur, but be warned, this is a high-level enemy that's similar to what you encounter after completing the game's main story. If you're doing this at a lower level, there's a good chance any attack can 1-shot your characters. Also, there's no need to fight him as the primary reward is the Picto he gives you, and friendly Nevrons aren't too common, so maybe it's best to leave him be.
