Loot Filter Support for Path of Exile 2
Loot Filters are a core part of Path of Exile 2, you need a way to tell the trash from the treasure! NeverSink has been working tirelessly on releasing loot filters for Path of Exile 2 and integrating support for his FilterBlade Loot Filter Optimizer. This began with the Lite-Filter, a quick and effective tool primarily focused on the campaign and early endgame. Now he's almost ready to release his first full filter for Path of Exile 2! Here are a few words from the man (the myth, the legend) himself.
Lite-Filter Current State
There was a final (likely) lite-filter update today: v0.3. After that, I expect to release the full filter and focus only on that. The lite-filter will be deprecated once the full one is launched as it's better in every way.
Lite-Filter Changes (v0.3)
- The goal is to test out a few tier-lists that will be featured in the full filter and give players some more QOL at the same time.
- Base types (normal/magic) in area level 78+ zones have been reduced to the very best bases. The filter is stricter in the endgame.
- Chancing bases that sell for 10+ex (stellar amulet, sapphire ring, heavy belt) are now well highlighted.
- Appropriate highlight and SHWING sound for level 20 gems.
- Minimap icons for gold.
- A lot of small improvements, like Chance Shard tiering.
You can download the Lite-Filter (v0.3) here.
Full Filter Status and Timeline
- Will likely be released within in 3-4 days.
- FilterBlade will need another ~2 weeks.

Details About the PoE2 Full Filter & FilterBlade
- Will feature a full tiering for every single unique, omen, currency, essence, soul core...
- It's a full rewrite, not a copy of my PoE1 filter. This feels like an evolution of my PoE1 work. All the knowledge from the last ~9 years and programming results in a very high quality product and feels great while testing so far!
- I’m using a mini-programming language (‘domain language’) I’ve designed myself and a suite of tools and scripts to look for errors, improve structure, and formatting, help with tiering, etc.
- Most tier lists (currencies, omen etc) will have exactly 6 tiers: S,A,B,C,D,E (more details about this system is available on my patreon).
- Will have a strictness system like PoE 1 - likely 7 strictnesses. The lowest strictness will hide nothing. Highest one is designed to be extremely strict.
- A lot of work is put in for everything to feel consistent. Icon sizes, font sizes, colors, all feel well optimized.
- Will start out with a PoE1 like style, but will receive new lighter and less/more colorful styles on FilterBlade (not on the FilterBlade launch but over the coming months).
- Unfortunately, new default PoE2 style does not work well (see issues below)
FilterBlade
- FilterBlade will allow you to customize everything similar to PoE1. A lot of work (months before EA start) went into preparing FilterBlade to handle multiple games.
- No new site. filterblade.xyz will support both PoE1 and PoE2 modes!
- Will include PoE2 specific strictnesses, styles, simulator, customizer, etc.
Current PoE2 Issues With filters
- Console (and geforce now) support for filters is not available right now. This is unfortunately on GGG's end, but they're aware about the issue and I'm talking to them about potential solutions (however I don't have anything I can announce yet, at least not in public).
- There's currently no way to filter by rare item tier.
- Unfortunately the 'borders' GGG creates around items are not really usable in filters. They only work with WASD/Controller (not mouse), only if the items are in proximity (the borders help you understand what you can pick up), and don't work with other borders and non-dark backgrounds.
Screenshots of Tooling
In this tool I can review and tier all bases. This tiering is then used in the full filter (and partially in the lite filter).
In the future, this tool will also use a lot of economy data to economy-tier every single tier list!
