Ultimatum
Last Updated:June 13, 2025|Changelog
The Ultimatum Farming Strategy is a high-difficulty, high-reward endgame method focused on generating large amounts of raw currency, unique items, and divination cards. This strategy utilizes the Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling to target Tainted Catalysts and Trialmaster boss drops, and is often tackled with characters built specifically for its extreme difficulty.
Set-Up
When setting up to run this strategy, it is recommended that you purchase enough materials to complete a sizable batch of maps. Failing to do this makes selling your drops far more difficult, as you frequently need to interrupt farming to trade for additional supplies.
Map Choice
- Tier 16 Jungle Valley Map
- Jungle Valley is the ideal choice as the Eldritch Altars spawned in the map cannot roll Boss related modifiers until you enter the boss arena.
Map Device
- Eldritch Influence - Searing Exarch
- Be selective with player-affecting Atlars, as they can add even more difficulty.
Fragments
Below are the optimal scarabs to use for the Ultimatum Farming Strategy:
- 2x Ultimatum Scarab of Bribing
- Ultimatum Scarab of Catalysing
- Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling
- Domination Scarab
Atlas Passive Tree

Loot Breakdown
Here are the primary drops to sell with this strategy. If you're having trouble selling your loot, refer to our Currency Exchange Guide for tips on efficient selling.
Inscribed Ultimatums make up a large amount of your profits. They do however require some micromanagement to extract the maximum value. These provide the following rewards:
- Currency
- Divination Card
- Unique Items
Inscribed Ultimatums can be vendored 5:1 for a replacement, set aside any Inscribed Ultimatum with the "more Monster Life" modifier and 5:1 all the other bad rewards. Bad rewards are any that do not meet your minimum criteria for completing an Inscribed Ultimatum, at least 20 Chaos Orbs in value is a common starting point.
The reason to save "more Monster Life" Inscribed Ultimatum is that community testing has shown that vendoring 5 Inscribed Ultimatums with the same "monster life" modifier yields a currency reward based on the amount of additional life they provide:
- 30% Increased Monster Life - Up to 1 Divine Orb
- 70% Increased Monster Life - Up to 4 Divine Orb
- 120% Increased Monster Life - Up to 8 Divine Orb
- 200% Increased Monster Life - T0 Unique , Mirror of Kalandra
The rewards showcased are more common if you vendor 5 of the corresponding Inscribed Ultimatums. This is due to the value of Monster Life directly reflecting the Tier of reward granted.
The Trialmaster appears at the end of every Ultimatum encounter when using the Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling. He is guaranteed to drop a Unique Item and several catalysts.
- Ixchel's Temptation (40%)
- Glimpse of Chaos (40%)
- Yaomac's Accord (9.5%)
- Mahuxotl's Machination (9.5%)
- Hateforge (<1%)
The Brave The Tower atlas node causes The Trialmaster to drop a full stack of Catalysts, alongside several Tainted Catalysts. The number of Catalysts dropped directly scale with quantity modifiers, making high-quantity maps with additional bonuses from Eldritch Atlars particularly valuable.
