Title Update 1
Title update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds is releasing on April 4th. It adds two monsters, a hub location, a festival, and some weapon balance adjustments to the game. The update also includes performance and stability improvements for PC, along with arena quests and challenge quests.
Mizutsune Glides Into Wilds

Mizutsune, a leviathan monster, is being added to the game in title update 1. In addition to biting and slamming with its tail, Mizutsune attacks with bubbles and high pressure beams of water. While the bubbles may not sound threatening, they can apply a status called bubbleblight, which causes the hunter to slide around at times when they move or dodge. On top of that, Mizutsune is able to infuse its bubbles with what looks like fire, as we see near the end of its footage. It can be fought at Hunter Rank 21. An 8-star tempered version of Mizutsune is available at Hunter Rank 41.
A New Hub Location

A new central location known as the Grand Hub is coming with title update one.It is a gathering place for hunters, featuring a variety of ways for them to interact with one another, such as eating meals or arm wrestling. You can also play the new barrel bowling mini game, where you throw a barrel bomb and try to hit as many targets as possible in exchange for pendants and useful items. There is also a diva who appears at night to sing. Once the Grand Hub releases, the squad information counter will move there.
The Final Boss Returns

Zoh Shia can at last be fought again with this update. Once you reach Hunter Rank 50 and complete a yet unspecified quest, Zoh Shia becomes fightable again. It appears at the Dragontorch at the Ruins of Wyveria, similarly to how Jin Dahaad appears at the Rimechain Peak in the Iceshard Cliffs. It also appears in the Ruins of Wyveria during its inclemency, the Wyverns Waking. The update also adds high rank hunter and palico equipment made from Zoh Shia.
New Quest Types

The update will also bring two new types of quests: arena quests and challenge quests. Arena quests take place in, as you may have guessed, the arena at the Wounded Hollow. In arena quests, rather than bringing your own equipment, you will choose between pre-designed loadouts to fight the monster. The goal of arena quests is clear speed, and there will be a global leaderboard. You can have up to 2 hunters in an arena quest.
Challenge quests are similar to event quests, but they are limited time and not restricted to the arena. Up to two hunters will use specified equipment to hunt the designated monster. Challenge quests will award special pendants based on completion time and ranking. Some pendants will be given as participation rewards as well. There will also be free challenge quests, where you will fight the same target, but with up to 4 hunters and no restrictions on equipment.
Content Roadmap

There was also a small peek at what's coming in the future. Arch-Tempered Rey Dau will arrive in an event quest, lasting from April 29th to May 20th, bringing with it a new set of armor. For title update 2, we also saw a leg and heard a roar that long time fans immediately recognized as a long desired returning monster: Legiacrus. Title update 2 will be coming this summer.
