Glyph of Envy

Glyph of Envy is a crafting material added with Last Epoch Patch 1.1 Harbingers of Ruin. This crafting material destabilizes an item unpredictably in exchange for more Stability in the last Monolith Timeline where you completed an Echo. However, in this guide we discuss its alternative use as a catch-up mechanic for fresh characters looking to progress through the Monolith of Fate as quickly as possible.

Mechanics

Glyph of Envy destabilizes an item, unpredictably changing all properties other than the affix being upgraded. This 'stability' is siphoned to the most recent Monolith Timeline you entered, greatly increasing its Stability.

How to Find Glyph of Envy

Glyph of Envy begins dropping in Empowered Timelines, with a similar drop chance as Dungeon Keys. Since this item only drops in Empowered Timelines, using the Glyph to progress in Timelines isn't a suitable strategy for your first character of a new Cycle. You can increase your drop chance further against Harbingers specifically, with the Forgotten Knights Faction's Rank 5 Reward: 20% additional Glyph of Envy drop chance from Harbingers.

Function and Benefits

Use your Glyphs of Envy in the Forge, similar to other crafting materials. The timeline that gains Stability is indicated on the Forge button before you complete the craft. The Forging Potential of the item is not changed beyond the normal reduction. More Stability is granted if you have never completed the Timeline before on that character. This makes it particularly useful for going through Non-Empowered Timelines quickly on fresh characters.

Restrictions

Glyph of Envy can't be used by characters that have never started a Monolith Echo. As with other crafting materials, This Glyph requires that an item have Forging Potential to use it. When a Glyph of Envy is used, it cannot alter an affix to be above Tier 5. Existing Sealed affixes cannot be changed.
