Fortnite Reload goes live Saturday June 22, 2024 and features a new Battle Royale mode with classic weapons and classic vibes that peaks the nostalgic interest of even current Fortnite players. Your teammates self-rebooting takes some of the pressure off to save your squad from being eliminated. As well as, the return of new and familiar points of interest on the island Tilted Towers and Retail Row.

The full breakdown of Fortnite Reload Announcement covered below.

Key Takeaways

  • Rebooting - Your teammates self-reboot in Fortnite Reload, so as long as one member of the team remains alive, your team with not be eliminated. Downing, eliminating, and full wiping a squad reduce the reboot timer for your teammates. Reboots stop at a certain point towards the end of the match and lost teammates will no longer be able to return to the current game.
  • Unvaulted Loot - A plethora of unvaulted loot has been added back into the game for Fortnite Reload including crowd favorites the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle and Grappler Gun. Full list of unvaulted loot listed below.
  • Familiar Locations - Titled Towers and Retain Row return to the island, with Tilted Towers demanding attention with its location in the middle of the map.
  • Cosmetic Rewards - Complete intro quests and challenges to gain cosmetics and snag a Victory Royale to obtain the Rezzbrella Glider.

Locked and (Re)Loaded

In this Fill or No Fill Squads experience, it can pay to go for aggressive plays when there’s an automatic reboot just around the corner. If the rest of the team’s down, a lone squaddie needs to keep their head on a swivel, as staying in the game depends on their survival! Here’s how it works:

  • When eliminated, a player’s individual reboot timer starts. The player reboots at the end of the timer!
  • Reboot timers begin at 30 seconds and scale up to 40 seconds later in the match.
  • Remaining teammates can reduce reboot timers by 2 seconds by downing an opponent, 4 seconds by eliminating one, and 10 seconds by wiping an opposing squad.
  • When downed, players can opt to start their reboot timer right away instead of waiting for a revive.
  • Towards the end of the match, reboots will stop, meaning lost teammates will no longer return.

Victory Crowns can be earned in Reload and function the same way as they do in normal Battle Royale or Zero Build. When rebooted, you’ll have a common Assault Rifle and (for Build only) 100 wood. On elimination players drop Small Shield Potions, medium ammo, light ammo, shotgun shells, and (for Build only) 50 of each building material. This is in addition to their entire inventory — stay strapped!
