False Idols is an incredible Sword added during The Final Shape that's a top choice for those looking to fight up close and personal. It's Vortex Frame is incredibly strong and it has a solid set of perks. It's able to be crafted early in The Final Shape so take advantage of this.

This roll of False Idols is focused on damage on a single target vs a group. The fact that this weapon has access to Bait and Switch is awesome for it's ability to boost damage for a short amount of time. Combo that with Relentless Strikes that will continue to feed ammo on multiple hits means more damage.

This roll on the other hand is focused on group damage vs on a single target. First up Incandescent is great for creating small nukes in groups that will apply Scorch on nearby targets. This means they will be easier to take out and ideally let you conserve more ammo. Lastly using Chain Reaction will increase that nuke effect while also helping your ammo economy. Overall a super solid roll for False Idols.
Comparable Weapons
Now the immediate Sword I think of when comparing False Idols to something is Falling Guillotine. This is a classic sword that was made part of the Brave set introduced in the Into The Light event. You can attune for this sword at Zavala in the Tower to have a great chance of obtaining it. This has almost the exact same perks like Chain Reaction, Bait and Switch and Relentless Strikes.
Now the second similar weapon would be The Slammer which you can acquire from Zavala at the tower. This is a nightfall acquired weapon and is so incredible. So many fun perks like Eager Edge, Bait and Switch, Chain Reaction, and the incredible Cold Steel makes this sword a top pick to try out.

We love False Idols for being easy to craft and having a solid set of perks. This is a great weapon for those starting The Final Shape and need a versatile heavy to take on any encounter. Fun combos like Incandescent and Chain Reaction makes this a good option for those wanting to fight in the thick of it.
