Edge Transit is a Heavy Grenade Launcher from the Vanguard's Onslaught Playlist. It's a joke reprisal of a Weapon literally nobody used when it originally released alongside the Forsaken Expansion, and now it has viable God Rolls. It has found itself in the Loadouts of many veteran Guardians, and potentially even your own!

Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch form the basis of many Power Weapon God Rolls and this one is no different. The former allows you to massively overflow the magazine, and the latter provides an insane 30% damage boost. With this God Roll, any Guardian wielding Edge Transit is bound to top their teams damage charts.
Spike Grenades with Hard Launch slightly increases damage output, and a Handling Masterwork speeds up those rotations. Though, don't worry if you can't land a roll with these - the most important thing is the Perks.

If your Build has built in instant-reloading through things like Whisper of Impetus, Thread of Ascent, or Facet of Command, you won't get too much value out of Envious Assassin
Cascade Point is a solid alternative, massively increasing your damage per second provided that you can proc it (presumably through a Precision-centric Special Ammo Weapon). It won't actually increase the Weapon's total damage, though.

Explosive Light provides up to 6 (7 when enhanced) shots of massively increased damage, far stronger than Bait and Switch's boost. This makes it optimal for high burst damage, but it has less total damage than the Main PvE Roll.
Envious Assassin's Overflowing effect is wasted and Auto-Loading Holster is more convenient here. Sticky Grenades have a bizarre interaction with Explosive Light's blast radius bonus and end up being more of a damage boost than Spike Grenades for some reason.
Comparable Weapons
Wicked Sister, a Vanguard Heavy Grenade Launcher focusable at Zavala, serves a similar niche but is Strand. Its God Roll of Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch is just as great as our recommended Edge Transit!
VS Chill Inhibitor from the Vesper's Host Dungeon has similar rolls but has a different Frame. It can roll Envious Arsenal or Cascade Point as a pairing perk for Bait and Switch. Learn more about this Weapon's God Roll and why we recommend it here!

The History of Edge Transit
Some Weapons are more storied than others, and sometimes those stories are worth sharing.
The original Edge Transit released in Destiny 2's Year 2 Forsaken Expansion. This thing was universally useless and everyone hated it. What's worse is that it was also bugged and dropped significantly more often than any other Weapon at the time. Guardians constantly obtained and then dismantled this Weapon, it eventually became a running gag, subject to high quality memes.
In past annual Dawning events, Guardians were able to bake Burnt Edge Transits and deliver them to the highly charismatic Master Rahool in the tower. Sadly, later Dawning events cut this feature.
Summary
Edge Transit is an incredibly powerful Heavy Grenade Launcher who's God Roll has everything that would ever be needed for its niche: boss-melting. Look for the Perk combination of Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch and enjoy the carnage once you get your hands on it or its other great Rolls!
