Exploration

Exploration and expansion form the heart of BitCraft as a game. Whether you’re building your first humble home or contributing to the rise of an empire, the game's settlement system lets players define the world’s geography and politics.

Claim, Settlement, and Empire

Any player can claim land in the game world, turning unclaimed wilderness into a personal space. Over time, you can expand it by investing resources into upkeep and infrastructure, forming the foundation for a cooperative Settlement.

As multiple players join forces, these Settlements evolve into economic and cultural hubs, complete with crafting stations, marketplaces, and waystones. The more players interact within a Settlement, whether trading or refining goods, the more Hex Coins are generated for its owners, creating a meaningful incentive to grow vibrant community spaces.

Once a Settlement grows large and well-developed enough, it can become part of an Empire and create symbolic alliance between Settlements. Empires come with shared visuals, emotes, and map visibility, giving players tools to build identity and pride across wider territories.

Traversing a Persistent World

The world of BitCraft is designed to grow with its players. Regions are procedurally generated on demand and seamlessly stitched together, ensuring there’s always new territory to discover and to claim.

To get around this expansive world, players can walk, ride mounts, or use Waystones, which allow instant travel in exchange for limited Teleportation Energy. This adds a strategic layer to travel, especially for traders and resource gatherers hauling goods between distant Settlements.

You can also designate a Settlement as your "Home." By doing so, you can use the "Teleport Back Home" button on your screen to return there from anywhere.

Profession & Economy

Professions

BitCraft places heavy emphasis on crafting and resource management, drawing clear inspiration from classic games like RuneScape while emphasizing deeper economic layers. Players specialize in one or more of the 12 Professions, each with its own tools, stations, and progression curve. From carpentry and farming to smithing and tailoring, every item and structure in the game comes from the labor of actual players.

Because it’s difficult for one player to master every Profession, specialization encourages trade, especially across Settlements with access to unique resources.

Trading between players is a key aspect of BitCraft. The simplest form of trading is player-to-player trade, similar to many other games.

Additionally, you can buy and sell items in the Marketplace of each Settlement. These Marketplaces and their inventories are unique to each Settlement, meaning that the supply and demand of resources vary based on the availability of materials in the surrounding area. The absence of global markets makes each local economy distinct, creating opportunities for smart players to profit by moving goods to high-demand areas.

Skills and Traveler Tasks

Skills are not directly tied to actions associated with Professions. Instead, they require either tools or specific structures, created with the help of certain Professions, to engage in activities related to a Skill. A reliable way to gain Skill XP and earn income is through Traveler Tasks, which are rotating quests offered by NPCs. These tasks typically involve gathering or crafting requested goods and can be completed every few hours.

Combat PvE & PvP

Combat in BitCraft is intentionally simple and accessible. Using point-and-click, players can attack creatures with basic weapons like the Claymore, Mace, Spear & Shield, Crossbow, and Dual Blades. Special abilities tied to each weapon are triggered via hotkeys and offer some tactical variety despite the straightforward design. But there are no traditional monster drops or boss fights. Instead, PvE revolves around harvesting animals for materials tied to Professions like Hunting.

PvP is not currently part of the game, though Empire border events offer a form of non-combat competition. Players compete in a tug-of-war battle to supply resources over time to specific structures to expand territory. Developers have announced plans to eventually include player duels and Empire-level sieges, which could deepen the game’s competitive options.

Monetization

BitCraft Online
Cosmetics Only

BitCraft follows a buy-to-play model with a monetization system focused solely on cosmetics. These include character outfits, decorative structures, and thematically aligned cosmetic content for Empires and Settlements. There are no power advantages tied to purchases, and all meaningful progression is earned through gameplay.

This approach ensures a fair experience for all players, whether you’re investing hundreds of hours or just exploring the world at your own pace.
