Path of the Brave is an endgame mode alternative to the Netherrealm, featuring 45 Levels of arena combat where each Level is more difficult and more rewarding than the last.

Difficulty between Levels ramps up quickly, the final Levels of Path of the Brave are brutal and only very powerful builds can hope to complete them.

Path of the Brave is unlocked after completing the Main Story quest to defeat the Traveler at Timemark 7. Once unlocked, it can be accessed by speaking to Zenoth the Lightless in Ember's Rest.

Zenoth the Lightless offers Corrosion services as well as hosting Path of the Brave.

Gameplay Summary

Start the encounter by interacting with this!

Start the encounter and survive the onslaught. Defeat all combatants to complete the Level. Completing a Level can award Currency, Memory Cards, Equipment, and Exclusive Skills.

Enemy encounters in Path of the Brave are randomized. Each Level pits you against either hoards of monsters or a combination of deadly bosses.

Like Netherrealm content, in Path of the Brave you are thrown out of the activity after dying or leaving the instance 6 times.

Warning: As these two encounter types are random and uniquely demanding, builds that overly specialize in speedy monster clear or high DPS bossing are not suitable for Path of the Brave.

Proof of the Brave

A Proof of the Brave token is required to access Path of the Brave. Proof of the Brave tokens can randomly drop in Netherrealm content, and they can be purchased or sold on the Auction House.

There are 5 tiers of Proof of the Brave tokens, each granting access to a specific Path of the Brave Levels.

Rewards

Completing a Level in Path of the Brave awards Currency, Equipment, and Memory cards. These rewards are from the global pool, meaning that extremely rare Legendary Equipment and Memory cards like Jumble Ice and Wheel of Time are up for grabs.

Path of the Brave does not offer XP, you should instead level up in Netherrealm content. Rewards from Path of the Brave are unaffected by loot modifiers, such as God's Boon Belt, God's Grace Belt and Pactspirits.

Quality of rewards is improved in higher levels, Level 40 is more likely to drop Flame Elementium than Levele 10. However, Level 40 is also 28.5 times harder than Level 10.

Path of the Brave can reward some exclusive items after certain Level thresholds. These rewards deal with Support Skills, Passive Skills, and Trigger skills that cannot be obtained elsewhere in the game.
