Dream Interpretation Guide

Welcome to the Dream Interpretation Crafting Guide! Added in the Twinightmare Season, Hunters use Dream Interpretation to finish their items. Begin Dream Interpretation by speaking to Patty within Ember's Rest or your map.

There are 3 special crafting materials used for Dream Interpretation:

• Shallow Dream Talking - Weapon: 1h & 2h Weapons.
• Shallow Dream Talking - Armor: Helmets, Chestpieces, Gloves, and Boots.
• Shallow Dream Talking - Trinket: Amulets, Belts, and Rings.

Dream Interpretation

You can only use Dream Interpretation on non-legendary items. Spend Dream Talking to add a Sweet Dream Base Affix. If you don't like the affix offered then you can Abandon the Dream Interpretation and try again (your resources are not refunded). Then you record the negative Nightmare Affix (yes, this is mandatory)! If you don't like the Nightmare Affix you need to begin the Dream Interpretation process again.

Dream and Nightmare Affixes

Both Dream and Nightmare base Affixes roll from different pools. The exact modifiers depend on the item and slot with Weapons having very different affixes from Armor and Trinkets. Your goal should be to get a Dream Affix that synergizes with your build, and a Nightmare Affix that doesn't apply to your build.

For example, if you are playing a Damage over Time build, the Confusing Dream for +Aura Effect provides a lot of power, and the Dangerous Dream penalty for -Minion Attack and Cast Speed doesn't affect you! It might take a few attempts but the end result is an item with a powerful upside and no downside!

Rewind

You can use the Rewind feature to remove all Dream Interpretation Affixes from your item. This removes any of the bonuses or penalties applied through Dream Interpretation.
