Seething Rehan Leveling Guide
Last Updated:October 25, 2024|Changelog
Welcome to the Seething Rehan Leveling Guide. Rehan's Seething Silhouette allows him to harness the power of his Seething Spirit to strike nearby foes with your Main Attack Skill. Seething Silhouette utilizes a powerful Berserk mode increasing his damage and Attack Speed.
Frozen Canvas massively changed Hero Traits and levelling for all characters. For Seething Rehan, this means you can no longer sustain Rage until reaching high level Traits and a large amount of Double Damage.
Players returning to Seething Rehan should be aware that until reaching these things, that you cannot sustain your Seething Spirit and have to play a more "hybrid" playstyle.
The leveling guide is intended to take your character to Timemark 7.
You can respec your character for free until Level 90.
Be sure to check the final section of the guide for recommendations on how to transition into the Endgame!
- Good Endgame Scaling
- Autobomber Playstyle Lategame
- Easy Beginner Playstyle
- Low Defenses
- Melee Levelling
- Slow early Leveling
Check out the Complete Story Walkthrough for tips on how to complete the Campaign.
Treasure Troves
Treasure Troves are a way to super-charge your leveling experience. They give vastly more experience than regular zones and yield exclusive Legendary items. You need to complete each of them once for a Talent Point. For an easier leveling experience, you repeat the Treasure Trove until you're 8-10 levels above the zone, then rush through the next few areas. Follow your side quest to find the Treasure Trove locations.
Keep an eye out for the following Legendary items as you clear Treasure Troves.
- New Ear Hills (L7): Look out for Pentagram Astrolabe, Lonesome, and Rock Lizard's Skull. These items can drop in all troves and offer a significant boost to your levelling.
- Nectar Valley (L16): Look out for Born in Fire.
- Dawn Avenue (L27): Look out for Boor's Iron Crown.
- Silver Sands' End (L44): Look out for Varagon's Attack.
- Hall of Grandiosity (L54): Here you should farm to level 60 to reach your next Hero Trait before completing the campaign.
Leveling Tips and Tricks
- Your first active skill slot (top left in the Skills menu) is your "Main Skill," this matters because many items and Hero Traits have effects that only apply to the Main Skill.
- If you're ever in doubt of where to go, click the campaign quest on the left of your screen and a golden path shows you the way.
- This guide assumes you get most of your levels through Treasure Troves and rush to the objectives in other zones for maximum efficiency.
- When allocating Pact Points, prioritize Elemental Resistance first, then select Damage nodes until you fill the section. If you have leftover points, put them into Drop nodes as you begin farming the Netherrealm.
- Claim your rewards from the Path of Progression to gain additional Talent Points whilst levelling.
- All support gems become available from the Skill Shop at level 55. At this stage cross reference with the embeds to make sure you're set up for the Netherrealm.
- In Chapter 3 gear you find comes with varying amounts of Energy, after changing your gear, be sure to go to the Energy Menu under Skills to reassign missing Energy.
Equipment & Stat Priorities
Look for these Offensive stats on Swords, Axes and Hammers:
- Strength/Dexterity
- Fire/Physical Damage added to Gear
- % Elemental/Physical Damage
- Attack Speed
- Multistrike Chance
- Critical Strike Chance
- Critical Strike Damage
- Fervor Effect
Look for these Defensive stats on armor:
- Maximum Life
- Armor Bases (while leveling)
- Elemental Resistance
- Erosion Resistance
- -% additional physical damage taken
PROTIP: During early progression use any base type (Sword, Hammer or Axe) with the highest DPS until you allocate Medium Talent. After this, focus on crafting a high Gear DPS 2 Handed Weapon.
Core Skill
- Focused Slash has the highest damage scaling of all Steep Strikes during levelling and that damage difference is very important for Seething Rehan as he gets very little additional damage from Hero Traits.
- Fervor rating grants additional damage to Focused Slash, your damage needs to ramp up when entering a new stage until you reach 100 Fervor Rating. This additional Damage also scales with Fervor Effect.
- Compound Source is our main way to quickly regenerate Life and mana whenever needed.
- Leap Attack allows you to quickly traverse zones and can be used with all Swords, Axes and Hammers.
- Bloodthirst provides a large attack speed bonus. Maintain it at all times to increase your Rage generation, damage and increase the speed of your Leap Attack.
- Use Vulnerability on Elites and Bosses until you unlock Terrain of Malice.
Leveling Progression
WARNING: The following levels are a guideline, you might complete the quest/unlock the Skill a few levels early, or a few levels later!
Use the Embed to the left to follow along with Support Skill progression!
- Level 1: Support Flame Slash with Raging Slash.
Equip the following as you obtain them:
- Level 3: Use One Handed Swords as your weapon of choice to enable Spiral Strike. Until you acquire them, use Leap Attack
Level 5: Support Compound Potion with Residues - Level 7: Support Focused Slash with Attack Focus to generate additional Fervor Rating.
Level 14: Equip Bull's Rage in your 4th Active Skill Slot. - Level 20: You unlock access to your 5th Active Skill Slot; Equip Vulnerability.
- Level 24: Support Focused Slash with Added Physical Damage.
- Level 60: After farming Sea Splitter from the Hall of Grandiosity Trove; swap Raging Slash for Tendonslicer.
- Level 26-54: Continue filling out supports on your utility skills. Now, the goal is to slowly add on Supports and Auras as you gain Energy and levels.
Level 55: At this point you have access to every skill in the game, continue to follow the embed shown as you gain more Energy.

Talents
God of War
This tree focuses on Physical Damage, granting a large amount of percentage Physical Damage and +1 Level to Physical Skills. Brutality prevents you from dealing Elemental damage so avoid weapons with added Fire/Cold/Lightning Damage.
Ronin
Ronin grants a large amount of Fervor effect, granting additional Critical Strike Rating and additional damage for your Focused Slash. The tree also provides 20% Steep Strike Chance which is a great multiplier for this build.
The Brave
This Tree provides bonuses to dual-wielding as well as buffs to warcries. Legendary Medium Talent provides Fearless Warcry with the max benefit regardless of how many enemies are present. Formless then removes the cast time for the War Cry.
There are tons of different Talent Trees to explore, if you want to learn more about this robust system check out our Talent Tree Guide.
Traits and Memories
Hero Traits
To Unlock your Traits you must reach the corresponding level and then place a Hero Memory in the available socket. The first 2 Memories are guaranteed to drop from the following Stage Bosses;
- Level 47 - King Lionheart - Lions Pass
- Level 57 - Ordrek - Rusted Abyss
Level 45: Growing Anger causes your Seething Spirit to generate additional Rage on hit, increasing it's uptime. At Trait Level 5, with enough Double Damage Chance and Attack Speed you can permanently sustain your Seething Spirit.
Level 60: Ritual of Offering causes your Seething Spirit to always exist whilst Berserking. You are Disarmed during Berserk. This will remove your ability to use Leap Attack during Berserk requiring you to run around.
Level 75: Rage Infusion grants a stacking damage buff as you gain Rage.
To learn more, check out our Hero Memory Guide.
Divinity Slates
After defeating the Steel Forge Timemark 3 Watcher and completing the Netherrealm quest you unlock the Divinity Slate Talents. These can be farmed from different forms of content, but primarily drop from the Cube of Rapacity. Look to brand Divinity Slates with the following nodes;
Micro and Medium Talents | Legendary Talents |
Attack Speed | Steep Strike Chance |
Maximum Life | Increasing Multistrike Damage |
Critical Strike Rating | Fervor Effect |
Critical Strike Damage | +1 All Skill Levels |
Strength | Strength per Level |
Pacts
To learn more, check out our Pacts and Pets Guide.
The Netherrealm
Racing through your Netherrealm quests as quickly as possible results in you becoming under leveled for the required zones to progress further, stay within 3 levels of the zones you're completing to avoid a harsh experience penalty. Check out our How to Progress the Netherrealm if you're unsure of anything.
Here's a list of things to do while progressing the early stages of the Netherrealm;
- Spend Black Gold at the Trader Edwin's Black Market to look for gear upgrades once reaching the Netherrealm.
- Level 60, The Trade House is unlocked. Be sure to read and understand our Trade House for Beginners Guide before making any big purchases.
- Higher item levels of gear come with higher quantities of Energy. Look to improve your current gear with items that have increased energy so that you can use more Support Skills.
- Utilize Crafting to greatly increase the power of gear you come across. It costs very low amounts of Flame Sand and Fine Embers to significantly improve your gear.
Transitioning to Endgame
Weapon
2 One-Handed Weapons with high DPS are the primary source of all your damage.
- Search Beacons or the Trade House for items with any of the following modifiers;
- Strength / Dexterity
- Physical Damage added to Gear
- Gear Physical Damage
- Multistrike Chance
- Gear Attack Speed
- Critical Strike Rating
- Chance to deal Double Damage
Remaining Gear
Focus on crafting the remainder of your Armor and Jewelry with the following goals in mind;
- Cap all of your Resistances at the 75% maximum.
- Have a high Life pool. 4000 is a good target.
- Increase your Physical damage
- Increase your Attack and Cast Speed
- Increase your Fervor Effect
Legendary Items
Leveling
- Clarity is a strong bonus as you count as being unarmed whilst your Seething Spirit exists after allocating Ritual of Offering
- Ominous Gift is an extremely high damage Off-Hand Weapon which works well with Joined Force.
- Broken Sun Ring grants 75% additional damage with Steep Strikes.
