Learn about the Talents, Hero Traits and Pacts for the Lethal Flash Carino Hammer of Ash Build.

Talent Tree

Talents give you passive bonuses and are acquired by leveling up and completing key story quests. Use these Minor, Medium, and Major Talents to harness the power of the gods by investing in 3 unique Talent Trees.

Talent Tree Progression

Learn more about Talents here in our Talent Tree Guide.

God of Might

Using God of Might as the base tree is required since two God of Might subsidiary trees are used. This tree offers quality of life for this build's offensive scaling.

The Brave

This tree provides most of the build's defensive scaling through Armor enhancing modifiers, which is also offensive scaling thanks to Forlorn Crystal.

Warlord

This tree provides offensive scaling through Tenacity Blessing modifiers and AoE Radius boosting.

God of Might
The Brave
Warlord

God of Might provides a little bit of everything this build could ever want. Medium Talent makes our attack Skills free, Medium Talent assists Armor scaling, and Medium Talent's buff has high uptime because our attacks are infrequent.

Tenacity

This Major Talent is important, because it's one of the best ways to generate Tenacity Blessings. The build scales Tenacity Blessing effect so that each one grants damage reduction, Armor, and damage.

Fueling

This Major Talent allows Fire damage to bypass enemy resistance, sparing this build the need to worry about resistance piercing. Note about this talent: It sets enemy Fire Resistance to 0, making sources of Fire Resistance Piercing do absolutely nothing.

The Brave amounts for the majority of this build's Armor scaling, which also grants tons of added damage via Forlorn Crystal. Medium Talent and Medium Talent are especially valuable Medium Talents.

Resolve

Sources of Additional Tenacity Blessing increase minimum and maximum Blessing count. Ideally this build has 12 Maximum Tenacity Blessings, so this Major Talent can provide 240% increased Armor.

Ember Armor

This build has 90% Physical Damage Mitigation via Armor. This Major Talent alone erases 45% of Elemental Damage taken.

Warlord provides the majority of this build's percentage based damage scaling. Medium Talent allows Hammer of Ash to deal 100% of its damage as Fire damage Medium Talent is incredibly high value. Medium Talent further increases survivability.

Rock

This Major Talent further enables and empowers Tenacity Blessing stacking as a form of offensive scaling.

Focused Strike

This Major Talent's large damage multiplier is always at full strength with Hammer of Ash. True Flame can be used instead to improve mapping speed.

Divinity Slate Recommendations

Divinity Slates allow you to acquire Medium Talent nodes found within any Talent Tree, though they are extremely random.

For this build, we recommend any 4 of the following 8 Medium Talent nodes.

  • Medium Talent -Increasing damage, defense, and skill radius.
  • Medium Talent, Medium Talent, or Medium Talent - increasing damage and defense.
  • Medium Talent - increasing damage.
  • Medium Talent - increasing Critical Strike chance.
  • Medium Talent or Medium Talent - increasing survivability.
Divinity Slates let you wield more of the 6 Gods' power!

Pedigree of Gods is an invaluable and highly variable staple of almost all builds. Its first two modifiers are random Medium Talent nodes, its 3rd modifier can rarely be a Major Talent, and its 4th modifier is always a Major Talent.

For its 4th modifier, any of the following Major Talents are suitable: Three Birds with One Stone, Rushed, Close Range Fire, Falling Leaves, Impending, and Off The Beaten Track.

Though not strictly required, an ideal Pedigree of Gods has a Major Talent for its 3rd modifier. Any of the following Major Talents are suitable: Prelude, Gravity, Shooting Arrows, Sprinkle, Arcane.
Sweep, Joined Force, and Burnout are also valuable, so look out for them or for Rock, Tenacity, or Resolve. These are already used by the build, so swap Major Talents for the same result.

Hero Traits

Hero Traits are a distinct set of abilities unique to each Hero that set them apart from the other playable characters. You get a Hero Ability at level 1, and 5 Hero Trait Specialization Points to choose different powerful effects by level 80.

Level 32 Use Precise Hit. The alternative Dart Shot is a weaker damage increase with less uptime.

Level 62 Use Evil Ouroboros, which causes secondary projectiles to return to you. Lethal Interval's damage up does not apply to Hammer of Ash's explosions so it's fully pointless.

Level 80 This build revolves around Desperate Measure which provides tons of damage, provided you fully reload after every Projectile Skill use.

2 Ammo is reloaded at a time every 0.4 seconds at base, and with a maximum magazine size of 6 it takes 1.2 seconds to fully reload.

Hero Relics and Memories are used to make a full reload take 1.5 seconds so that it coincides with Demolisher Charge regeneration speed.

Optimal Hero Traits.

Hero Relics & Memories

By default, a full reload with Desperate Measure takes 1.2 seconds, Steel Stagnation sets Hammer of Ash's Demolisher Charge regeneration speed to 1.5 seconds, and both of these things must be ready when attacking. This leads to heavily bottlenecked dps. The solution to this problem is Eve of the Kingslaying.

This Hero Memory increases the time it takes to reload 2 ammo by 0.1 seconds and increases the maximum magazine size by 2, which provides a ton of extra damage thanks to Desperate Measure. Just one Eve of the Kingslaying leads to a full reload time of 1.6 seconds, this needs to be lowered to 1.5 seconds or just under that. There are 3 ways to do this, all relying on Eve of the Kingslaying.

  • Use two copies of Eve of the Kingslaying, the Tina's Withered Flower Relic, and 1 Magic Hero Memory with no less than 20% increased Reload Speed such as Vengeance Bullets. 100% increased reload speed leads to a 0.3 second reload that occurs 5 times for a 1.5 second full reload. Since the maximum magazine size is increased twice, damage is massively increased. This is the best combination.
  • Use one copy of Eve of the Kingslaying and get no less than a combined 50% increased Reload Speed. Vengeance Bullets can get up to 50% increased Reload Speed, so use one or more to reach a combined 50%. This leads to a 0.375 second reload that occurs 4 times for a 1.5 second full reload. This is the easiest combination to pull off.
  • Use one copy of Eve of the Kingslaying, a Magic Rarity Hero Relic with "-0.1 s reloading time" like Foe's Fingerbone, and 1 Magic Rarity Hero Memory with any amount of increased Reload Speed - even the minimum of 14% Vengeance Bullets can roll is fine. This leads to a 0.372 second reload that occurs 4 times for a 1.49 second full reload. This combination has a free Hero Memory slot.

Pacts

Pactspirits are not a part of a build's core gameplay, but offer small optional bonuses. You can use different Pactspirits to customize your Pact Points.

The build already does a lot of damage, so Survival Pactspirits are a great way to add extra Resistances or Health.

Wanting more damage instead? Look for Attack Pactspirits as these give critical strike bonuses.

If your damage and survivability are fine and you want more loot when farming easy content, try Drop Pactspirits.

This is how you allocate your Pact Points
