The Blistering Lava Watcher is one of the five "Watchers of the Netherrealm". You must defeat any combination of these Watchers 4 times to challenge the Traveler, one of the pinnacle bosses. The Watchers of the Netherrealm are harder than typical Beacon Bosses. The difficulty of the Watcher is based on which Timemark (1-8) you are attempting.
In order to fight the Blistering Lava Watcher, you have to generate enough Stage Attention. The required amount varies based on your chosen Timemark Level, ranging from 4-10.
Watchers have specific loot tables. Chaos Invasion Card Inheritance does not affect the Watcher's fight or loot table in any way.
Rewards
All The Watchers of the Netherrealm have a pool of exclusive Legendries that can drop. Watchers can also award various currency, Memory Cards, and items from the global drop pool.

- Cinder - Rewarded for defeating this boss for the first time in each Timemark, for Timemarks 1-7.
- Two random Rank 5 Beacons used to access Timemark 8 Netherrealm - Timemark 7 and Timemark 8 only.
- The Beginning - Timemark 7 only.
- The End - Timemark 8 only.

Defeating The Blistering Lava Watcher may reward any of the following:
- Fire Lord's Blade
- Ice and Fire
- Sky Devourer - Strength Armor
- Fire Lord's Sin
- Sun's Embrace
- Sunset Ripple
- Chaotic Ending - Timemark 7 and Timemark 8 only.
- Helio Rock - Timemark 8 only.
- A random Rank 5+ Beacon used to access Timemark 8's Deep Space mode - Timemark 8 only. This drops more commonly within higher Offset Degrees.
- A rare Trinket base type from the table below - Timemark 8 only.

Blistering Lava Watcher Mechanics
The Blistering Lava Watcher awaits in the center of the Arena. This Watcher's abilities are slow, consistent, and easily capable of killing you if you do not pay attention. This fight is split into 2 Phases: The Boss Phase and the Intermission Phase, each repeating multiple times.
It is highly recommended to have maxed out Fire Resistance before attempting this boss.
Phase 1
The Blistering Lava Watcher randomly rotates through his skills (Basic Attack, Fire Arrows, Leap Attack, Dash Attack). Once he reaches 66% and 33% HP remaining, he goes Immune and dashes to the center of the arena to start the Intermission Phase
Intermission
The boss moves to the center of the room and becomes immune. During this time, the Watcher uses his Fire Pools ability, making some of the Arena inaccessible for the rest of the fight.
Phase 2
After the Intermission concludes, the Blistering Lava Watcher always summons roaming Fire Embers and then begins to channel his rotating Fire Beam. The Beam spins Around the arena in a counter-clockwise direction. Fire Embers and the Fire Beam can easily kill you on contact. After the Watcher finishes using Fire Beam, he returns to using his phase 1 skills (Basic Attack, Fire Arrows, Leap Attack, Dash Attack) randomly, in a now less spacious Arena.
