VS Velocity Baton is a Grenade Launcher from the Vesper's Host Dungeon with an outstanding God Roll. It's a burst-firing Area Denial Frame which excels at just that and a whole lot more. Look for the massively synergistic Attrition Orbs Perk on it!

This Weapon and Attrition Orbs pair too perfectly too pass up. One ammo equates more than one Orb of Power for very little effort, this value is incomparable - this is because this Weapon frame deals damage VERY rapidly. Pair the Orb with the Better Already and or Recuperation Armor Mods and you suddenly become extremely hard to kill.
The question becomes what Perk to pair it with. Under-Over bizarrely makes the most sense: these Weapons are terrible at killing, making Demolitionist less appealing. With that in mind, why not take advantage of massively increased damage towards Shields?
The most important thing is Attrition Orbs. If you get a copy with that, it really doesn't matter what else is on it - each pairing perk that isn't Reverberation offers some use!
The recommended Launcher Barrel, Magazine, and Masterwork improve the Weapon's already solid ease of use by upgrading its Handling and Reload Stats. The Bray Legacy Origin Trait works in the background to improve Ability uptime.
Comparable Weapons
Lost Signal, the Area Denial Grenade Launcher from Episode Echoes, functions similarly to VS Velocity Baton but trades Attrition Orbs for it's synergistic Auto-Loading Holster Perk. Forbearance from the Vanguard Onslaught Playlist (or the Vow of the Disciple Raid), is also an Ad-Clear oriented Weapon that sees a lot of use. Pair it with Ambitious Assassin and One for All for a more direct Ad-Clearing Grenade Launcher.
Summary
VS Velocity Baton is a phenomenal Grenade Launcher that pairs so incredibly well with its Attrition Orbs God Roll that it may very well be game-breaking. This Weapon is a valuable addition to any Guardian's collection!
