Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Revealed!

At the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9th, 2024, Activision revealed their newest entry into the COD franchise, Black Ops 6! They announced 3 game modes, a new Omnimovement system, 16 multiplayer maps and 2 zombie maps. There is also an official Open Beta to be announced prior to the launch! Lets dive in and learn about what's coming.

Call of Duty has finally revealed their newest game. Black Ops 6 launches Friday, October 25, 2024. We finally have details from the latest announcement. The campaign takes place in a 1990s world post the Cold War. Between each mission you return to a central base, called your "safehouse". In your safe house you have a place for target practice, secret rooms to explore, and has an evidence board to prepare for further missions within the campaign. Keeping to the 90s era theme you will acquire gadgets and weapons fitting this timeline, including the return of the RC-XD (Remote controller Explosive Device) amongst other familiar weapons.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 3 key game modes:

Treyarch has announced the release of Omnimovement, a new movement mechanic within Black Ops 6! This new global system claims to redefine the movement in the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies! Players will be able to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction, providing much more freedom in your play style. Faster movements, animation cancellation, directional control. Additional hit zones have been added to the enemy targets, making your aim incredibly important in the effect it will have on the enemy.

For the first time ever in Black Ops they have created options to the HUD (mini map) to fit your preference when playing. The ability in your options menu to control things like HUD, movement assists, etc. are going to make big changes in how the game feels while playing.

On launch Black Ops 6 multiplayer will release with 16 new multiplayer maps! 12 core maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played in a 2v2 or non stop action of a 6v6 in tight quarters. The leveling process scales as you go from level 1-55. You might recognize the Prestige system which has made its return. Post level 55 you can rank up your gear through 10 Prestige levels as well as Prestige Master. Another very recognizable integration will be Theatre mode, where you can go back and review gameplay!

Black Ops 6 Zombies has two brand new Zombie maps:

Zombies is a game mode that sends hordes of undead at you round-by-round until you become overwhelmed. As you progress through these hordes, each round increases in difficulty and horde size. While fighting through each round you can acquire powerful weapons, power ups, and search for Easter eggs within the maps. Survive the waves of zombies, loot, and explore for secrets!

There will be an Open Beta later in the year to be announced prior to the official Launch on Friday, October 25, 2024.
