Item Overview

Main-Hand

As we use are a Physical to Elemental Attack/Critical bow build, the weapon is the most important slot. It is going to provide us with most of our flat damage and Critical Strike Chance necessary to deal with the most challenging content in the game. A great Bow has high Physical Damage and Critical Strike Chance rolls as well as the modifier granting Bow Attacks 2 additional Arrows. The best base for this build is the Spine Bow.

The most important prefixes on our weapon are:

  • (75–79)% increased Physical Damage, +(175–200) to Accuracy Rating
  • (170–179)% increased Physical Damage
  • (120–139)% increased Physical Damage, (21–25)% chance to Blind Enemies on hit (veiled)

Quivers are a great place to get an Additional Arrow. It rolls as a Suffix, but can also be an implicit on Synthesised bases. Make sure to buy a quiver with at least Ilvl 80+ if you're buying a +1 arrow implicit quiver to craft.

  1. To craft the quiver you can spam Deafening Essence of Dread or Deafening Essence of Scorn until it rolls the respective essence modifier and Bow Attacks fire an additional Arrow with an open suffix. If you need to, use an Orb of Annulment to open one.
  2. Next craft Can have up to 3 Crafted Modifiers and Suffixes Can't be Changed. Use a Veiled Chaos Orb and craft mana before unveiling.
  3. Unveil +(55–60) to maximum Life, Regenerate 5.3 Mana per second or +(365–400) to Armour and Evasion Rating
  4. Craft Cannot roll Attack modifiers and Exalted Orb slam.
  5. Finish the craft by crafting (15–16)% increased Global Critical Strike Chance (20–22)% increased Elemental Damage if you've dealt a Critical Strike Recently and Exalted Orb a final prefix.

This enables us to be fully ailment immune with the 20% granted on the passive skill tree, and a craft on our Body Armour. Amulet

The Crystallised Omniscience changes the way characters are itemised. Instead of Elemental Resistances or other Suffixes, we now favour Attributes. The best Anoint for you may vary and can be checked with Path of Building, but so long as you are not yet at 1500+ Omniscience, Utmost Intellect is your best choice.

Rings

Rings are our main source of both Chaos Resistance and Attributes. The Expedition vendor, Rog, can reliably make triple Attribute suffix rings. So it shouldn't be too expensive to craft or buy a good triple Attribute suffix base. Once you have a triple Attribute suffix Amethyst Ring base, you can craft: "Suffixes Cannot be Changed" on the crafting bench and proceed to using a Veiled Chaos Orb to gain a veiled prefix. Before unveiling, block Mana with the Crafting Bench and look for Life as your unveil. To finish the ring, you can craft % increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills and finally augment with a Redeemer's Exalted Orb with hopes of getting a good prefix.

The most important prefixes on our Rings are:

  • +(70–79) to maximum Life
  • (37–42)% increased Elemental Damage with Attack Skills
  • Adds # to # Cold/Fire/Lightning Damage to Attacks

Belt

The best in slot belt for the build is Headhunter or Mageblood. Both of these belts are very expensive and excel in different situations. Headhunter is more suited for running juiced mapping content with high density/monster count. Mageblood is better for speed farming and bossing. It excels in situations where you need consistent power. Enkindling Orb increased effect Flask enchants grant a massive amount of defenses and damage.

Alternatively for cheaper you can buy a double corrupted The Torrent's Reclamation. These are common because of a divination card. The best implicit modifiers you can get for this belt are:

  • Hatred has #% increased Aura Effect
  • +#% to Critical Strike Multiplier during any Flask Effect
  • #% increased Movement Speed during any Flask Effect

Cluster Jewel

The Large Cluster Jewel grants utility and damage as well as an extra jewel socket to place your Forbidden Flame + Forbidden Flesh combination. The best cluster jewel type for the build grants 12% increased Damage with Bows & 12% increased Damage Over Time with Bow Skills. You can choose a combination of the following Prefixes and Suffixes:

Prefix:

Suffix:

Another option is the cluster granting 12% increased Physical Damage with the following passive skill combination:

Forbidden Flesh & Flame

The best Forbidden Flame + Forbidden Flesh combination allocates Far Shot, Endless Munitions, Ricochet or Focal Point depending on which is cheapest. Allocate your Ascendancy passives accordingly to which jewel you purchase.

Lethal Pride

The Lethal Pride is slotted at the Ranger jewel socket next to the Frenzy Charge. Near this socket is a good concentration of passives the build already paths to for its damage and utility. This makes it the favorable location for it to be slotted. The jewel grants additional powerful bonuses to passives allocated within the radius of it's ring. The bonuses we are looking for on these passives are any combination of the following:

  • 5% chance to deal Double Damage.
  • +20 to Strength.
