Learn how to progress your gear for the Corrupting Fever Champion Build.
Gear Setup
For the Endgame version of CF Champion you use a Rare Wand instead of The Poet's Pen. This is because a self-cast Reap combined with Corrupting Fever can deal higher damage with a crafted Wand. All of the gear on this build is craftable, and gearing is very tight. You should not "save" too much on each piece of gear, or your stat/resistance needs will pile up too much.
IMPORTANT - If you cannot afford Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh you MUST use Haemophilia. You then skip the Essence of Delirium Rings, to instead obtain the Resistances and Stats (Dexterity, Intelligence) that you need. The Forbidden Jewels allow you to obtain 3 additional Suffixes for the build, which in turn let your gearing be much easier and your Intelligence much higher opening up more Wand Bases that you can use.
Main-Hand

- Spam Shrieking Essence of Spite until you obtain another T1 Resistance or Dexterity.
- Use Eldritch Chaos Orb, Eldritch Exalted Orb and Eldritch Orb of Annulment to obtain T2+ +# to maximum Life
- Obtain the following Eldritch Implicits:

Body Armour
Name: The Fourth Vow
Rarity: Unique
This Body Armour is a massive increase in survival to the build. Your Armour works against half of all Elemental Damage, which provides a huge boost in Elemental mitigation. You want the +2 to Level of Socketed Duration Gems.
Corruptions:

- (40-50)% increased Damage
- You take 50% reduced Extra Damage from Critical Strikes
Gloves
Base Type: Armour / Evasion
Rarity: Rare
These Gloves assume you have the Gratuitous Violence Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh Jewels. If you cannot afford these yet, the POB at the end of the guide has the Haemophilia budget version.
- Purchase a Glove Base with Fractured +(31-35) to Chaos Resistance.
- Spam Shrieking Essences for whatever your build still needs (Intelligence if you obtained a high requirement base for example) until you obtain a T1 Resistance or Dexterity.
- Use Eldritch Chaos Orb, Eldritch Exalted Orb and Eldritch Orb of Annulment to obtain T2+ +# to maximum Life
- Obtain the following Eldritch Implicits:

- Use Eldritch Chaos Orb, Eldritch Exalted Orb and Eldritch Orb of Annulment to obtain T2+ +# to maximum Life or 25%+ increased Movement Speed.
- Obtain and upgrade the following Eldritch Implicits, upgrading the chance to Avoid being Shocked to a high enough tier to cap you for using Stormshroud:

- Craft Suffixes cannot be changed and use a Veiled Chaos Orb. Craft Mana and Unveil Life.

Your Large Cluster Jewel small passives can be a great place to also obtain:
- Resistances (Elemental)
- Stats (Dexterity, Intelligence)
Timeless Jewel
Find a Glorious Vanity in the name of Xibaqua with a Seed that gives you Physical Damage leeched as Life on either Expertise or Ancestral Knowledge. If you need help obtaining a specific seed, check out our How to Find Good Timeless Jewel Seeds article.
Unique Jewels
- The Gratuitous Violence Forbidden Flame and Forbidden Flesh are the most expensive items of the build but it IS a great upgrade. It opens your Gloves and replaces the explosion effect and allows you to have room for +#% to Physical Damage over Time Multiplier and Resistances / Stats which in turn opens up Suffixes on your Rings for Damage over Time Multiplier
- If you cannot afford the Gratuitous Violence Jewels, you simply use a Haemophilia Corrupted with Vulnerability on Hit, or self cast the Vulnerability for additional single target damage. Your Rings should be crafted just for Resistances (Elemental, Chaos) and Stats (Dexterity, Intelligence) and you won't be able to fit Damage over Time Multiplier until you free your Gloves up.
- Put the Energised Armour in the Templar Jewel Socket
- Unnatural Instinct put into the Scion Jewel Socket.
- Stormshroud needs to be combined with your Crafted Boots.
Rare Jewels
Rare Jewels can be used to fill up empty Jewel Slots and should have a combination of the following mods:
