Machinists have a wide array of gadgets to handle all types of situations. From an SMG to a whole arsenal of machinery, they blast the competition away. Not only that, Machinists can simultaneously attack with their drones to cover a wide area for great mob pack clearing which is really helpful for Leveling and Questing in general, you can also manipulate your drone with the Shift key to position it to get better hits with your Drone skills and recall it back with Identity Button 2(Default Key Bind: X) whenever you want to reset its position. You can use your Drone skills to cover an area while using SMG skills to attack another position to cover a massive area for Questing.

During the leveling process, focus on equipping the highest Item Level gear while prioritizing the Crit and Spec Combat Stats to increase your damage and clear speed. To level quickly, focus on doing Main Story Quest with some exceptions.

For a walk-through of the leveling quests, check out the Leveling Guide.

Skill Point Allocation

Allocate Skill Points to gain Skill Tree for your most powerful Skills. Below are the notable Character Levels to obtain the most important Skill Tree. Left over points can be spent on secondary Skills of your choice. Make sure you reallocate those points into the main Skills when needed.

Check the Skill Point Guide for more details.

Level 12: Mobile Shot and Command: Active Pulse (4 points each) for mobility and damage.

Level 20-21: Annihilation Mode (48 points) for damage and some AoE clearing.

Level 25-26: Command: Blockade (20 points) for more AoE clearing.

Level 30-31: Command: Carpet (48 points each) for even more AoE clearing.

Level 35: Command: Baby Drones (Take skill points from Command: Carpet)

Level 38: Avalanche (48 points) for more AoE clearing. Skill Tree can be swapped for more single target damage.

Level 45: Command: Raid Missile (48 points) for more AoE clearing. Skill Tree can be swapped for more single target damage as well.

Level 50

Follow the main story quest to Vern Castle until Beatrice notifies you to visit her in Trixion. Completing her questline unlocks Energy Buster and Air Strike Awakening Skill. Check your inventory and consume the items to unlock the skills. Set up 2 skill presets for the Chaos Dungeon/Cube and Raid builds, listed below in the Endgame section.

  • Annihilation Mode is your main AoE clearing skill as it can reduce its cooldown based how the number of targets you hit meaning you want to put yourself in the middle of a large pack of mobs to clear them out quickly with Cross Fire skill tree node further making it a really good leveling skill as it freezes target and has higher chance to deal even more damage with built-in Crit Rate.
  • Mobile Shot and Fiery Escape are your mobility skill to traverse around zones quicker when you can't mount up.
  • Avalanche, Command: Baby Drones and Command: Raid Missile skill tree nodes can be swapped around for more single target damage for story dungeon bosses.
  • Make sure you recall your drone with Identity Button 2(Default Key Bind: X) whenever you use a Drone skill or you can move the drone with the Shift key as well.
  • If Hypersync is up, you can use it to quickly burst down elites or bosses down as it does pretty good damage with Q+E (Comet Strike + Laser Blade) and Q+R (Comet Strike + Echelon Beam) combos.

Once you reach Level 50, the following guides will guide you through the end game content and activities:

  • Use your mobility skills to travel around quickly in areas where mounts are disabled.
  • Annihilation Mode is your main mob pack clearing skill as it covers a wide area and also reduces its cooldown based on the number of targets hit, so group up the packs tight before using this skill.
  • Swap out skill tree nodes from these skills, Avalanche, Command: Baby Drones and Command: Raid Missile , to clear story dungeon bosses faster.
  • When Hypersync is up, use it to burst down elites and bosses quickly to move on to your next objective.
