Glaivier Leveling Build Guide

Introduction

Glaivier has a plethora of useful skills for leveling due to their decent base damage combined with her Identity buffs. Flurry Stance skills have more Area of Effect (AoE) for clearing groups of enemies, while Focus Stance skills have more single target damage for bursting down Bosses in dungeons. Switching to Focus Stance with Identity gauge provides a Crit Damage buff that synergies well with her Crit Rate Skill Trees. Get ready for some huge damage numbers from guaranteed Crits!

During the leveling process, focus on equipping the highest Item Level gear while prioritizing the Crit and Spec Combat Stats to increase your damage and clear speed. To level quickly, focus on doing Main Story Quest with some exceptions.

For a walk-through of the leveling quests, check out the Leveling Guide.

Skill Point Allocation

Allocate Skill Points to gain Skill Tree for your most powerful Skills. Below are the notable Character Levels to obtain the most important Skill Tree. Left over points can be spent on secondary Skills of your choice. Make sure you reallocate those points into the main Skills when needed.

Check the Skill Point Guide for more details.

Level 12: Stampeding Slash and Half Moon Slash (4 points each) for damage.

Level 20-21: Raging Dragon Slash (48 points) for damage and some AoE clearing.

Level 25-26: Half Moon Slash (20 points) for more AoE clearing.

Level 30: Half Moon Slash (48 points each) for more damage.

Level 38: Cutting Wind (48 points) for more AoE clearing. Skill Tree can be swapped for more single target damage.

Level 45: Red Dragon's Horn (48 points) for high single target burst damage.

Level 48: Starfall Pounce (20 points) for damage against Elites/Bosses and some AoE clearing.

Level 50

Follow the main story quest to Vern Castle until Beatrice notifies you to visit her in Trixion. Completing her questline unlocks Shackling Blue Dragon and Yeon-Style Spear Technique: Spear MeteorAwakening Skill. Check your inventory and consume the items to unlock the skills. Set up 2 skill presets for the Chaos Dungeon/Cube and Raid builds, listed below in the Endgame section.

Extra Notes

Thrust of Destruction, Soul Cutter and Windsplitter is an option during early levels for additional AoE clearing, Starfall Pounce can be upgraded early if some help dealing with Elites/Bosses is needed. If you want extra mobility skills for traversing dungeons faster, Spear Dive is an option. Make sure you reallocate those points into the main Skills when needed.

Gameplay

  • Rotate all skills in each stance to charge up Identity gauge for strong damage, speed and Crit buffs when switching into other stances. Having Level 3 gauge before switching into Focus Stance is ideal for the Crit Damate buff to go with the Starfall Pounce, Red Dragon's Horn and Thrust of Destruction Crit Rate skill trees.
  • Use Chain Slash, cancelling it with Spacebar before the attack finishes to extend dashing distance, and Flash Kick to traverse around dungeons quickly.
  • Half Moon Slash and Raging Dragon Slash serve as main damage skills for AoE clearing and Elite/Bosses encounters. Group the mob packs tightly before bursting them down to prevent cooldown issues.
  • In the later levels, Cutting Wind can be use as AoE Clearing or Elite/Bosses damage depending on your Skill Tree preference. Red Dragon's Horn and Starfall Pounce help with dealing damage to Elites/Bosses.

Endgame

Once you reach Level 50, the following guides will guide you through the end game content and activities:

Summary

  • Use your mobility skills to travel around quickly in areas where mounts are disabled.
  • Glaivier has lots of skill options for AoE Clearing and Single Target Damage. During the early stage of leveling, Half Moon Slash, Raging Dragon Slash and Starfall Pounce are available for AoE Clearing and deal decent damage to Elites/Bosses as well. Later on at Level 40, Red Dragon's Horn provides a significant single target burst damage skill for shredding Elites/Bosses in dungeons.
  • Rotate all skills in each stance to charge up Identity gauge for strong damage, speed and Crit buffs when switching into other stances.
