Learn about Skills and Passives for the Sentinel Void Knight Leveling Build.


Passives

Passives provide powerful effects that dictate the playstyle of a Class and its Masteries. Remember that you can allocate Passives in the first half of any Mastery regardless of the one you chose. Powerful skills and nodes are usually found in the masteries tree.

Don't spend any passive point past 20 points invested until you get your Mastery!

Skills

Hammer Throw

At level 4 spec into Hammer Throw. This is your main damage skill until you unlock Devouring Orb. It takes advantage of the multiple hammer per throw and them rotating to have massive clear and single target early in the campaign.

Smite

At 20 points in the Sentinel tree spec into Smite. Don't use it until you spec into Devouring Orb, then you want to use it as a filler damage skill in between Devouring Orb casts.

Volatile Reversal

At 5 points in the Void Knight tree spec into Volatile Reversal. It nearly double our damage and gives us a cast speed boost. Use it as often as possible against bosses.

Devouring Orb

When you unlock Devouring Orb, respec Hammer Throw for it. Use it whenever it's off cooldown to maximize damage on this build. It clears packs of monsters really easily and deals good single target damage.

Sigils of Hope

At 15 points in the Paladin tree spec into Sigils Of Hope. You always want your maximum amount of sigils up as It helps you scales your damage. To make them easier to sustain, you want to equip idols with Seconds to Sigils of Hope Duration.

Anomaly

At 30 points in the Void Knight tree spec into Anomaly. It gives powerful buffs such as cooldown recovery speed, critical strike chance, cast speed and leech, so keep the skill up at all time.

Gameplay

As we level the power of skills shift, with some becoming stronger while others get weaker. To account for this, we transition from a setup that is optimized for early game to one that is more suited to tackling endgame content.

Early Setup

  • At level 4 spec Hammer Throw and use it as your main damage skill until you unlock Devouring Orb.
  • At 20 points in the Sentinel tree spec into Smite. Don't use it until you spec into Devouring Orb.
  • Use Lunge to move quickly through the chapters.

Final Setup

  • At 5 points in the Void Knight tree spec into Volatile Reversal. It nearly double our damage and gives us a cast speed boost. Use it as often as possible against bosses.
  • When you unlock Devouring Orb, respec Hammer Throw for it. Use it whenever it's off cooldown to maximize damage on this build.
  • At 15 points in the Paladin tree spec into Sigils Of Hope. Use it to boost your damage and defence.
  • At 30 points in the Void Knight tree spec into Anomaly. Use it to boost your damage and recovery.
  • Use Smite as a filler damage skill in between Devouring Orb casts and to regen mana.
